Two Part Lunch

July 19, 2011 by Julie 74 Comments

After working through the morning, around lunchtime Ryan and I took a breather and headed out to the dog park with Sadie.

She was ready to run!

The hot sun had her playing in the lake in no time. We’re hoping the million rounds of fetch we played with her leaping in and out of the water will make her sleep well tonight!

On our way home from the park, we swung by our friend’s t-shirt shop to pick up a bunch of empty boxes to use in our big move this week.

Now we just gotta fill ‘em up! Confused smile I am seriously dreading moving. I’m thinking I may feign an injury to get out of it. Don’t tell Ryan.

Lunch

Lunch today was a two-parter.

Part one:

vizsla dog park 092

A blueberry smoothie made with:

  • 1 c. frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 c. Greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 3/4 c. almond milk

Part two (about an hour later):

vizsla dog park 094

Pulled pork wrap made with leftover pulled pork, lettuce and tomato.

Two parts = Twice the fun!

The rest of the afternoon will be spent boxing, boxing and boxing. I may have to terrorize Sadie a couple of times in the middle of packing stuff up just to maintain my sanity.

Meals with multiple parts are the best kind! My parents make fun of me for it all the time.

My dad will see me eating a small meal and be like.. Um, Savannah, is that all you’re going to eat? That isn’t enough!

My response is always. “dad, do you REALLY think this is all I plan on eating for breakfast/lunch/dinner?”

My cousin just got a dog named Sadie, and she looks so much like your Sadie! I thought this was so ironic. Gotta love Sadies 😉

the protein powder in this smoothie is EAS vanilla pp from target. i usually use optimum nutrition’s all the whey brand protein powder that ryan buys (from bodybuilding.com, i believe).

The last two times I have moved I have waited until the last minute to pack. I knew once I started having piles of boxes around the place and things off the walls, it would no longer feel like home. I am moving in a few weeks but thankfully most of my belongings are still in storage 🙂 now I just have to go through my belongings in storage!
