As I briefly mentioned before, this year is officially the year of weddings for us. Ryan and I have five weddings to attend (I am in four and he is in one) and the wedding fun officially kicks off this weekend with my friend Laurel’s bachelorette party in Orlando.
I am so, so excited. We have a lot of fun stuff planned for the weekend and I spent most of the day today running around town picking up last-minute supplies for the special day. Tonight will be dedicated to crafting!
Oddly enough, I am just as excited for a low key night with the bride-to-be and the bridal party on Friday night as I am for the craziness that we have on the agenda on Saturday night. I love late nights spent talking away in pajamas and can’t wait to catch up with everyone on Friday and then party it up on Saturday.
Lunch
Since I was way on the other side of town running errands when my stomach started talking to me, I decided to pop into Firehouse Subs for lunch. I still had another errand to run before heading home and knew I wouldn’t get home until after 2 p.m., so a quick sub sounded like a good idea.
I ordered a ham sub on whole wheat with all the veggies but I forgot to ask for them to hold the mayonnaise. Mayo usually grosses me out, but it kind of melted into the provolone cheese and I didn’t notice it too much even though the sub looks mayo-tastic in these photos!
Delish!
Question of the Afternoon
- How would you like to celebrate your bachelorette party?
- If you are married, what was the most memorable thing about your bachelorette party?

I got married almost seven years ago and I don’t even remember if I HAD a bachelorette party. I don’t think I did! How sad is that? I don’t think I even knew it was part of the tradition. Weird. :0)

I am getting married in May 2014! I would LOVE to go to Vegas- I mean, come on…it’s Vegas!!! But I am thinking I’ll go back to Toronto where my family and friends are, do the CN Tower Sky Walk and then dress up for a night out!
Do you have any suggestions for fun wedding games or activities? I don’t want them to be lame…obviously- and you have been to so many weddings! What was the most fun?

Oh, this brings back memories! I got married over 20 years ago and still remember my bachelorette party like it was yesterday. I was 21 but many of my friends were not, so they planned two parties…one for the above 21 and one for under. Unfortunately they planned the over 21 one first and needless to say, I never made it to the second one! 😉

I got married in October but had my Bachlorette party in August. We all headed up to Lake Geneva from Chicago and my girls rented a pontoon for the day. Had a BLAST! We drank, we ate, we had an 18 year old cutie pie guy driving us around as our sober captain (which of course made us all feel a little weird, being in our THIRTIES!). Still can’t believe it 🙂
Then we went out and were surrounded by like 25 other Bachlorette parties…so much for ‘dressing up’ with my pseudo veil to feel special, lol

This blog is seriously one of my favs! You are such an inspiration to me. You & Ryan remind myself of my husband and I. I enjoy following a fitness minded Jesus loving lady 🙂 Your posts remind me I can be balanced, healthy, active and still have yummy eats! I struggle with becoming obsessed with eating healthy and forget to enjoy my food. Have you had a hard time finding that balance?
PS we have been in wedding madness as well! this past year has consisted of six weddings including our own!
