When the Fiancé's Away…

January 7, 2010 by Julie 9 Comments

…I make whatever I want for dinner!

Ryan’s actually really easy going when it comes to meals and always eats whatever I (or we) make for dinner without complaint, but when he’s away at dinnertime the freedom to make spur of the moment Julie-only meals is kinda fun!

Tonight Ryan had a soccer game (they won!), so it was just me and Sadie for dinner. I wanted eggs… so eggs it was!

Breakfast for Dinner

Other Julie-only meals of the past have included:

  • Oatmeal with a variety of toppings
  • Pancakes
  • Big ol’ bowl of yogurt with granola and fruit
  • Ice cream

It seems like I really like breakfast for dinner when I’m on my own, huh?

Do you eat differently when you’re by yourself?

I enjoyed my dippy egg dinner with a whole wheat sandwich thin, Canadian bacon and sauteed portobello mushrooms and cauliflower.

Veggies and Canadian Bacon

My Plate

After dinner I enjoyed a cup of Greek yogurt with a spoonful of instant chocolate pudding mix stirred in for my dessert. It was a delicious and healthy lil’ dessert! I am defnitely making this again soon (maybe tomorrow for breakfast?).

See ya tomorrow lovely readers! 😀 It’s almost Friiiiiday!

I eat the same way when I’m by myself, except a little less lady-like 🙂

Mmm I had eggs for dinner tonight too – but yours sounds so much better! And putting pudding mix in Greek yogurt is genius. I’m definitely trying that!

I always do breakfast for dinner when I am on my own! I love breakfast foods and could probably eat it for every meal every day!
