While I’m Away

May 3, 2011 by Julie 95 Comments

Guess who is trying to cram every veggie she can into her body before vacation?

Oooh Veggies!

And guess who is making a concerted effort to gulp down loads of water to avoid in-flight dehydration tomorrow?

GULP!

(I promise to wash my hair tomorrow. Honest.)

Along with my salad and tons o’ water, I also snagged one of these little babies from a neighboring office when nobody was looking.

Pulling the Chocolate Chip Slip

Yes, sometimes I take things.

PBF: While I’m Away

Guys, I am starting to freak out! I cannot believe I’m going to Europe tomorrow!!!

Some of you have asked me what the game plan is for the blog while I’m away. Please allow me to fill you in!

I will be traveling tomorrow through May 15 and I have a guest post from a blogger I adore scheduled to post on PBF each day while I’m gone. The guest bloggers I selected come from several different blogging niches including healthy living (duh), fashion (weee!), book bloggers (let’s get smart!) and more. I think you’re gonna love ’em.

I also scheduled a couple of posts to appear while I’m gone (hooray for the peanut butter energy bite recipe!) and hope to pop in and blog once a day if possible. Of course my number one priority is seeing and doing every single thing I can while I’m in Europe and spending quality time with my family, so blogging will be taking a back seat.

That being said, I do hope to blog while I’m there because blogging is something I love and I can’t imagine staying away for too long! Plus I want to share our adventures with you guys and document everything so I may look back on it in the future and drool over all of the gelato and croissants I will be eating. (There will be a lot of those, I assure you.)

So that’s the deal! 😀

In 2.5 short hours I’ll be on the road to my parents’ house in St. Pete and vacation will officially begin! WOO!

P.S. The Fashion page was updated this afternoon.

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Have a great, safe trip first of all. I’m SO excited for the guest bloggers because I have a feeling you’re going to introduce me to some new favs. You’re going tomhave the best time, so enjoy every moment. I lived in Italy for 5 weeks and spent a 2 week vaca there previously and I still want to return multiple times. Be careful of your bag especially in Rome you’ll get used to jus holding it as close to you as possibe and always keep your eye on the zipper. Never take money out of am ATM without covering the keypad where you type your pin, if possible always use ATMs inside the bank.

JOURNAL EVERYTHING! Not necessarily about the sites that you can read about in any book, but your thoughts when you see things, the way you feel, the things you smell…everything! Funny things you heard, appalling things you heard, fun laughs you have with your family, insides jokes you create, etc. Even if you are feeling annoyed or gross, write it down because it is amazing how much you forget, and it is so much fun to go back and read it years later!

Also, I can’t speak for every country, but the fruit and veggies in Europe are so amazing, and the flavor is to die for! I went to the local grocery stores on a daily basis when visiting. It is cheaper and it is also fun to compare their products to the US’s.

    Have fun!!
