Working Lunch

I had take out lunch today because we had a manager’s meeting at my work and had food delivered from Pom Pom’s Teahouse & Sandwicheria.

It was great because they took everyone’s individual order rather than ordering a bunch of food for all of us to share. I love selecting my own food and jumped at the chance to enjoy a fresh lunch.

I chose the “create your own salad” option and though I didn’t get the chance to snap a picture, I’ll take you through the contents of my salad:

Spring Mix

+

Sliced Apple

+

Cucumber

+

Tomatoes

+

Turkey

+

Swiss Cheese

+

Creamy Basil Dressing

It was tasty!

I really loved my salad but was pretty jealous of one of my coworker’s sandwiches. He ordered Mama Ling Ling’s Thanksgiving sandwich which came loaded with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and gravy to dip the sandwich in. I wish I would’ve noticed that on the menu!

Why I Love My Friends

I got a wonderful email from my friend Merri today detailing her fantastic lunch.

Subject Line: I’m a Fatty 2.0

Email contents:

Five Guys Burger and Fries!

Just a simple lunch of 1,463 calories…

    Holy crap that’s a lot of calories for one meal. I love HEALTHY food because you can eat SO MUCH MORE of it!

    sounds like a yummy lunch. I love healthy food, but every once in a while a burger and fries is just soooo good!

    I’ve yet to try Five Guys, but judging from the pic, it looks pretty darn tasty 🙂

    Hahahah…it was sooooooooooo GOOD!! I wish I could eat 5 Guys everyday, it’s the best!! I have I’m a Fatty 3.0 coming very soon!
