I love the inexpensive date ideas you guys added to my morning post.
Here are some more fun ones:
- Liz: “I’m surprising my boyfriend tonight with an indoor picnic, complete with food that I have a Groupon for!”
- Jill Bond: “Our local surf shop has cheap paddle board and kayak rentals. We stop at Whole Foods, pack a snack, put in a dry bag, and paddle to a quiet spot for dinner.”
- Kelsey: “One of my favorite date nights is when my husband and I do our own version of the Food Network show Chopped. I usually make the main dish and he takes the appetizer. We each pick 4 ingredients for the other person, then they can use anything at home. So fun!”
- Celina: “The weekends that we do get to spend alone together are normally spent working on our home or we spend them at local flea markets (Lafayette, LA). We love turning trash into treasure. I love our little hobby together! Plus, it’s tons of walking and we always enjoy lunch somewhere super cute.”
- Jamie: “Another thing we enjoy is just leashing up the dog, driving to a nearby town and just walking around and sharing a sweet treat from one of the little shops.”
- Melissa: “I think some great dates would be: fruit picking (i.e. apple, blueberry, strawberry, peach) and/or wine tasting!”
Workout + Lunch
Today’s workout was a good one! I headed to the gym for my favorite Wednesday morning boot camp class and made sure to warm up for a little bit on the elliptical before jumping around and sweating like crazy. Boot camp flew by and definitely got my heart rate up. That’s all I ask!
After boot camp, I quickly showered and then worked through the morning before it was time to head home for a late lunch.
I reheated leftovers from last night’s dinner which kept things simple. On the menu for today was a sweet potato paired with lean turkey, red pepper, onions, chopped bacon, salt, pepper and goat cheese.
The goat cheese melted into the dish and created a somewhat creamy sauce that added a lot of flavor to the meat and vegetables. Loved it!
And now it’s time for a giveaway that I think you guys will enjoy!
You Choose: Reebok Shoe Giveaway
As part of my on-going relationship with Reebok, I feel very fortunate to be able to try out different shoes that the company sends me to review on occasion. I know a bunch of you guys are in the market for new shoes, so this month I approached Reebok about hosting a giveaway that would allow one of you to select whatever pair of shoes you want from their website!
They were instantly game for my giveaway idea, so now it’s time for one of you to win a snazzy new pair of shoes!
Here are some of my personal favorites:
- Nanos (And yes, this giveaway does include the new Nano 3.0s!)
I wear Nanos on days when I know I’ll be doing functional workouts. Avid Cross-Fitters seem to love these shoes and though I don’t do CrossFit, I still love the Nanos because they make me feel a lot more stable when I do certain exercises like lunges, squats or box jumps! I love the way the shoe doesn’t have a lot of cushioning and since the midsole material is a flattened platform, it’s thinner which allows my foot to lay flatter and closer to the ground. If you’ve only ever done functional workouts like CrossFit in traditional running shoes, I’d definitely try a pair of Nanos!
These shoes actually remind me a little bit of the Nanos, but with a little more structural support and cushioning. I love them for boot camp workouts!
These are the newest shoes in my collection and I’ve been wearing them to work nearly every day (as I’m sure you can tell from their well-worn look in the above picture). They’re more cushioned than some of the other Reebok shoes out there and feel comfortable even after hours on my feet. I wear them when I teach certain group exercise classes or during my own workouts that include light running or cardio.
I’ve been wearing my RealFlex Fusions for almost a year now and love the lightweight, supportive feel of the shoe. They’re another shoe I love for workouts that include a lot of variety and some running and plyometric exercises like speed skaters.
Of course if another shoe strikes your fancy on the Reebok website, you can choose a pair that isn’t currently on my radar! It’s totally up to you! (Dancers and Zumba lovers may want to check out the dance shoes on the Reebok website. I cannot pull off the high tops, but if you can, do your thang!)
To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below, telling me which pair of Reebok shoes you would choose if you won the giveaway. I will randomly select a winner on Friday.
Good luck!
Please note that shoe selection is subject to availability.
I’m really liking the RealFlex Fusion. I love the little “teeth” on the bottom.
I would love love the sublite duos. I tend to always just wear my running sneakers to workout, walk etc because I don’t really have another supportive shoe for working out but not necessarily running miles. It would be great to have another sneaker option that I could wear to prevent wear and tear on expensive running- specific sneakers!
I would love to try the Nanos! I tend to do HIIT workouts and those are similar to crossfit so I think these shoes would work for me!
I would LOVE the RealFlex Fusions. I need my shoes to be lightweight and easy to move in. Fingers crossed for a win! 🙂
I’d go with the sublite duos since I’m more into cardio! 😉
I would choose the RealFlex or the Nanos! I am in need of a pair of shoes that will work best for boot camp/plyometric workouts
I would choose the Real Flex…..I love my current ones…..but it’s time for a new pair 🙂
I would love to try the nano 3.0’s! I absolutely love the purple and black! I have just been wearing my running shoes for functional workouts, so I think having a different shoe like this would be much more beneficial.
I think either the Sublite Duo’s would be great for teaching group fitness as well as my own circuit training workouts that incorporate running and weights!
I would love to try to the Sublite Train 1.0. I’ve recently gotten into Body Step and need something other than my running shoes to wear. Running shoes are no good for step!
I would like to try the RealFlex Fusion TR, I could use a lighter sneaker for runs especially!
I’d love to win the SubLite Train 1.0! I definitely need support and cushioning for my feet. 🙂
Nanos!
I would want to try the Nanos!
I would LOVE to win a pair of SubLite Train 1.0 or the Nanos!! I don’t do crossfit either and need a good shoe for the gym!
I would love the Sublite Duo, I have a lot of variety in my workouts and hate having to switch from interval training shoe to a running shoe. I also love the color combo they are sharp 🙂
I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to try the new Nano’s!!!
I love my Reebok RealFlex fusions! I’d like to try the sublite train shoes for my weight training workouts.
I like the sublite duos! I also love your site!
I would love a pair of the Nano 3.0’s! I’ve been training for a half marathon, but I need some new cross-training shoes!

I love the RealFlex Fusion-perfect for my ever changing workouts!
I would really love to try the Nano’s! I have recently gotten into crossfit and I need a better shoe, and I think these shoes would be perfect.. and the color purple, so cute.
I’d definitely go with the Nanos… Right now I depend on my running shoes for my strength workouts! No bueno!
I would love to try the Sublite Train!
I would choose the Nanos, since I’m looking for light shoes for gym workouts, plus I really want to try Crossfit so maybe have the shoes would give me a push haha 🙂
I ,ove the new nanos!
Nanos 3.0! We are always doing WODs in our garage and the Nanos 3.0 would really give me a boost in my comfort and balance!
Nano’s. My current 2.0’s are on their very last leg and need to be replaced. They’ve lasted me though some crazy workouts and amazing PR’s!
I am in need of new sneakers! I love the RealFlex Fusion TR!
I would love to try those Nano’s!
I love the Realflex Fusion shoes! I think they would be a great addition to my workout. 🙂
Just started CrossFit a couple months ago and would love to get a pair of Nanos! I’ve never worn Reebok shoes and hear SO many great reviews about them!
I think i would try the Nano’s!
It would be a tough choice for me between the RealFlex Fusion TR and the Nanos!
The Sublite Duos sound perfect!! 🙂
I’ve actually never owned a pair of Reebok shoes! My workouts are typically based around functional moves so the Nanos would be a perfect fit!
I browsed the site and really like the Reebok One Cushion. It seems like it would be a perfect running shoe for me since I’m just starting out.
So many shoes to choose from! But I think I would have to try out the RealFlex Strength TR 2.0 in the color Porcelain/Ultra! Good luck to all!
I am still rockin’ my mud and clay stained shoes that I wore for a Spartan Race last year, so I am in desperate need for a new pair. I like to have a lot of variety in my workouts, so I think I would want to try the RealFlex Fusion TR.
I think the Sublite Duo look super fun and cute. Perfect for strength training or light cardio at my gym!
The sublite 1.0 in yellow are my jam. I need them in my life!
I would love the Sublite Duo! I love to run every morning and mix in exercises with light weights 🙂
I would love a pair of the RealFlex Fusion!
I would choose the Nanos, which would be great for my cross-functional fitness classes at the gym! The purple color helps too. 🙂
DEFINITELY the nanos! Mama needs a pair of Crossfit shoes!
