Goodreads

March 12, 2012 by Julie 95 Comments

Has anyone started reading this month’s book club selection?

overnight oats 014

I ended up staying up entirely too late reading last night.

For some reason this book makes me incredibly antsy and uneasy. I keep waiting for something awful to happen as I read each page which makes me read it for an inordinate amount of time every time I sit down with the book. I only have 30 pages or so left, so I’m assuming I’ll finish it at bedtime tonight. It definitely draws me in!

Speaking of reading, are any of you guys on Goodreads?

The website is pretty darn cool and allows you to keep track of the books you’ve read, browse books your friends are reading and receive recommendations for books you may like based on the ratings you give to other books you’ve read.

good reads

That’s a little glimpse of my Goodreads ratings page.

You may find me on Goodreads here. Let’s be friends! Smile

Workout

This morning’s workout was the same as last Monday’s boot camp workout, but the tempo of every exercise changed, making it even harder. I actually had to decrease my weights on several of the exercises to make it through the workout without compromising my form.

Just like last week, the Bosu lunges kicked my butt. One day lunges won’t make me want to keel over. One day.

Breakfast

I think I may have a muesli obsession. After eating muesli overnight oats several times last week and making muesli almond date bars yesterday, you’d think I’d be muesli-ed out.

Not so!

I actually made granola with the muesli over the weekend as well and could not stop eating it by the handful. Something about all of the nuts, seeds and dried fruits simply calls to me!

Question of the Morning

  • What food can you currently not get enough of every day?

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Bananas! If I don’t have one with breakfast I feel off! 🙂
I have been craving cottage cheese the past few days, so I picked some up yesterday. This might be a new craving!

Do you know where you can buy that muesli? Oh, I also did some of your incline walking interval workouts – they were great! Thanks

I finished the book. Was SO good. I’m a mother of two and it was kind of hard to believe though…. But, overall good. 😉

Also, have you read any of Emily Giffins books? She’s coming out with a new one in a couple of months. ALL of them are sooo good!

I’ve been eating even more greek yogurt than normal …and always have at least one apple a day.

I’m on Goodreads and always adding books, new goal is to start moving them to the “have read” shelf!

I’ve always wanted to try Museli; I just may have to do that! I am currently obsessed with protein rich foods like eggs, nuts, nut butters, and *gasp* meat. Since trying to become vegetarian/vegan, I have been craving meat and protein. Perhaps this is a sign I need more of something I’m not getting??

Isn’t it great when you get a food obsession! Mine currently is beets! I love them! In cottage cheese, in Salads, on their own, I buy them fresh and boil them, roast them, or even just grate them raw into my salads. I never eat them out of a can, I just will not, Sam I am. 🙂

I love GoodReads! It helps me keep track of my to-read list. I used to write down various books I wanted to read on whatever paper was closest to me. GoodReads makes the whole process a looot less messy.

Ohh I need to join Goodreads! I usually just use Amazon Wish List to keep track of books but I like that you can review and compare with others! And museli granola sounds fabulous! Not a food, but I cannot get enough sparkling water- I’m on a total kick right now!

how is it that granola or muesli is ever-more-appealing than fruits or vegetable — i can always overeat granola but do not usually find myself accidentally eating too many veggies 🙂

Grapefruits. Its so strange…. just now as I sit in my office during lunch, a co-worker opened the door to tell me that he can always smell ‘citrus’ wafting through the door!
I eat them like oranges! Oh and about 6 spoonfulls of almond butter… originally peanut butter, but I FINALLY got bored. lol

It is refreshing to hear about having to decrease your weights for the first bootcamp workout this week. I had to do the same – my butt and thighs are still sore from last week. I considered myself really fit, but sometimes exercises that you aren’t use to doing can really get you!
