Four Things

January 12, 2011 by Julie 43 Comments

I couldn’t wait to dig into my lunch today!

Hump Day Lunch

Knowing that I had curried cauliflower and a flavorful Morningstar Asian veggie burger waiting for me made me long for noon all morning.

Fortunately a lengthy to-do list kept my busy at work, so lunchtime arrived quickly!

Curried Cauliflower

Asian Veggie Patty

The crisp sweetness from the apple, coupled with the strong flavors from the curried cauliflower and Asian veggie patty were fantastic. This is a lunch I must repeat in the near future!

And now for a fun survey that Allie tagged me in!

Four Things

Four TV Shows I Watch:

  • So You Think You Can Dance
  • Jeopardy
  • The Office
  • The Bachelor/Bachelorette

Four Things I’m Passionate About:

  • My family and friends
  • Sadie
  • Blogging
  • Health and fitness

Four Things I Learned In the Past:

  • Communication is key. When in doubt, talk it out.
  • Worrying about today won’t change tomorrow. Don’t worry! Be happy!
  • If you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you’re going to keep looking how you’ve been looking.
  • Tomorrow isn’t a guarantee. Make sure that those you love know how much you care.

Four Things I’m Looking Forward To:

  • Traveling to Sanibel with Ryan and my family in February
  • My friend Leah’s bachelorette party in May and her wedding in July
  • Celebrating the honeymoon that never happened in St. Lucia on our one-year anniversary (Hopefully!)
  • Cruise 2.0 with my college friends

Four Things I Love About Winter:

  • Uggs
  • Hot drinks
  • Cuddling up under the blankets with Ryan and Sadie
  • The lack of humidity

Now it’s your turn!

Tell me four things you are passionate about. Go!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

    1. Volunteering- especially for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. (can I plug this contest I’m in pretty please LOL?) All people (on Facebook) have to do is click on the link and leave a comment and I’m entered to win a trip. I want to use the trip as a fundraiser for my foundation the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

    http://apps.facebook.com/offerpop/Contest.psp?c=2327&u=744&a=100142423390621&p=163111953725541&v=Entry&id=249

    2. My Family. We have a small, but tight knit group, and I’m excited to expand the numbers when I get married THIS year!! YAY

    3. My Job. Being a news reporter helps me tell stories that impact our community and help change people’s lives.

    4. My Health– this goes hand in hand with volunteering. I have Crohn’s disease and have been very sick in the past. Eating healthy, managing/limiting stress, exercising and surrounding myself with positive people helps keeps me in remission (well..and some medication.) 😉

    I love these survey’s 🙂

    I knew I’d love your answers! 🙂

Since I obviously already did the survey, I’ll write four more things I’m passionate about.

    1. Making progress. I love the thrill of a new PR or learning a new recipe.
    2. Psychology. I have a BA in Psych and, although I’m in an MSW program now, I miss my psych classes so much!
    3. Interior decorating. I’m always thinking up ways to make a room decorative as well as functional. The feeling of a space matters so much to me.
    4. Supporting local business/agriculture. This is where the quality is at and these people work so hard day in and out–support!

The Little Things…I paint my toes day glow pink in the summer, never using anything but real cloth/satin ribbon for wrapped gifts, hide every last wire & cord in my apt., and turn on lamps instead of overhead lights when company is over to give it a warm glow….all because it makes me SUPER happy! I really enjoy taking a moment to relish in the little things. I have found it is what keeps me moving when life stops me in my tracks.
