Jittery Smoothie

July 18, 2011 by Julie 85 Comments

This morning started off like any other Monday morning… at the gym!

Twenty minutes of cardio on the elliptical followed by my beloved BodyPump class. Only one more week of the ‘Pump and then it will be out of my life foreverrr. Sad smile

Okay, maybe I’m being a bit dramatic. The gym we’ll likely join in Ocala doesn’t have the ‘Pump, but I am seriously considering looking into becoming certified to teach it myself if the gym would be open to offering the class. We’ll see!

Walk

After my workout, it was Sadie walkin’ time!

Ryan joined us for our usual walk around the lake because he has the whole week off work.

Woo!

Ryan planned to have a week off between jobs and we’re planning to use this week to finalize our housing situation in Ocala (or set up temporary housing), pack and move. Eek! It’s a big week in the Fagan household.

Of course I will be doing my usual work thang, as I have a couple of freelance pieces due this week and some blog to-dos as well. I wrote (and baked!) for a few hours yesterday so I would feel better about taking a few hours off in the middle of the day today.

Ryan and I have an appointment with a realtor in Ocala at 10:30 a.m. to see four potential houses to rent. We’re very hopeful one of them will work out, but if not, at least we’ll know it’s time to seriously look into temporary housing.

Needless to say, our morning walk was dominated by discussions of our housing hopes and plans.

Breakfast

Once we arrived home, I took a quick shower before it was time for breakfast.

On the menu for today was a coffeefied green monster… aka a mocha protein smoothie… aka DELICIOUS. Open-mouthed smile

A lil’ caffeine plus a lil’ chocolate, served in  my favorite Anthropologie mug = Win!

And now I’m feelin’ a little jittery! It’s amazing how much a little bit of caffeine affects me. It makes me chatty. Smile I’m glad I’ll have a road trip buddy to talk to as we head to Ocala in a bit!

Catcha later, alligators!

Becoming a certified Body Pump instructor is one of the best decisions I ever made! Only thing w/offering Les Mills classes is, the gym has to be a licensed facility to offer it. Which means fees. But, you never know, they might like to do that. I can promise it would bring more clients in the doors!

P.S. You should really think about writing a cookbook! You have so many followers and have some amazing original recipes! You could do a whole section on just granola!

I’m envious it only takes a little bit of caffeine to affect you, I’m practically immune to it — but hey, I guess college will do that to you!

    Julie,
I just took the plunge and did the training for Body Pump a few weeks ago…I am still working on perfecting everything and hoping to pass to become an instructor by this fall.
It was a lot more mental than I thought, but I think it will be sooo fun if/once I finally get it all down.
If you have any questions about it, just let me know.

Good luck with the housing hunting!
    Stephanie
