A Little Cuteness

June 16, 2011 by Julie 162 Comments

I’m thinking we should start today off with a little cuteness.

2011-06-16_07-34-19_482

Hands down the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in Orlando!

While on my morning walk with Sadie, I called Ryan to tell him about this woman’s t-shirt I saw that said “Sheboygan.” (Long story – Any Wisconsin readers out there?) Anyway, I practically hung up on him to snap this picture with my phone when I saw the two babies hitchin’ a ride on Mama Swan.

Of course I immediately texted the picture to my mom, sister and Ryan.

My mom’s reply? “Are you in Europe?”

Remember those swans?

Fetch me a saddle, I wanna ride one! Winking smile

Workout

Sadie and I walked around the lake and saw the swans after my morning workout. I began my workout with 25 minutes on the treadmill (15 min. incline walking, 10 min. run) before deciding that was enough cardio for the day. I just wasn’t feeling the whole cardio thang, so I headed upstairs and into a 6 a.m. yoga class.

I haven’t taken a yoga class in the longest time and I felt like even more of an amateur than I usually do. If someone would like to send me some hamstrings that actually stretch, I would be much obliged.

Breakfast

After yoga and a walk with Sadie, I was more than ready for breakfast.

Breakfast came together quickly thanks to some prep work last night.

keurig brewing 004

Uber chocolaty overnight oats!

I think I added a bit too much almond milk to the mix because the overnight oats were a little too liquidy at first. Once I stirred in some frozen banana slices and a scoop of peanut butter, the mixture thickened up a bit and was much more appetizing.

keurig brewing 006

Okay, so it still looks like dung, but it was delicious.

And check this out:

keurig brewing 001

The Keurig, brewin’ like a champ!

I’m loving this machine so far and can’t wait to buy a bunch of flavored coffee pods. I’ve been working my way through the sampler pack that came with the coffee maker and am anxious to get some new flavors to try. Ryan and I also heard that it can make hot chocolate! Who knew?

Time to get crackin’ on today’s to-do list. I have a meeting scheduled with a friend who owns a t-shirt company to discuss those PBF t-shirts I mentioned many moons ago. Should be a fun one!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Cutest. Picture. Ever. I wish I lived in an area where a swan/cygnet sighting was possible! All we get around here are turkeys and fauns. Fauns are adorable, but CYGNETS! Oh, and we get baby wolves…which are cute, but you might want to stay far away from them. NEver know when the Momma is gonna come out!

I spent the first 15 years of my life in Wisconsin. And my godfather is from Sheboygan. I’m not even kidding.

There is a fake story that it is called Sheboygan because some woman there gave birth to her fifth son, and the doctor said “She Boy Again.”

Oh, we’re so funny in Wisconsin. It’s the brats, cheese, and frozen custard that make us funny. Wait, no, that just makes us fat.

CHEESE CURDS. YES. Trader Joes carries them but they aren’t warm so it’s just wrong.

There is a store – Brennan’s – about 2 miles from my grandmother’s house that has five cheese cases. FIVE. And they are NOT small. Heaven.

Oh, and we used to call your type FIPs (F* Illinois People) when you came up to use our campgrounds. Just FYI.

FIPs – thaaaaat’s us! 🙂 i must say, i’m not surprised at that nickname. when we were camping one year, we heard this couple next to our campsite arguing and i’ve never heard so many cursewords said in a row one sentence in my life. it’s a running joke in my family now and we repeat the words in the same order whenever someone is pissing us off. 🙂

If you get the chance be sure to try Brennan’s seven year old aged white cheddar, the chin drippin’ peaches, and of course the farmer’s market downtown on the square!

They could have taken you and flew away. Next thing you know, you would have ridden the swan like the babies were in the first photo.

The Keurig is the best thing I ever. Hot chocolate is good but don’t buy the Green Mountain kind..it wasn’t chocolately enough and tasted a little watered down. Cafe Escapes makes a good one and I think they have a dark chocolate one that’s really good.

I think you need specific hot chocolate pods for hot chocolate, but I could be wrong. I know you can get reusable pods if you want to use your own coffee, so you could maybe make hot chocolate that way?
