A Little Cuteness

June 16, 2011 by Julie 162 Comments

I’m thinking we should start today off with a little cuteness.

2011-06-16_07-34-19_482

Hands down the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in Orlando!

While on my morning walk with Sadie, I called Ryan to tell him about this woman’s t-shirt I saw that said “Sheboygan.” (Long story – Any Wisconsin readers out there?) Anyway, I practically hung up on him to snap this picture with my phone when I saw the two babies hitchin’ a ride on Mama Swan.

Of course I immediately texted the picture to my mom, sister and Ryan.

My mom’s reply? “Are you in Europe?”

Remember those swans?

Fetch me a saddle, I wanna ride one! Winking smile

Workout

Sadie and I walked around the lake and saw the swans after my morning workout. I began my workout with 25 minutes on the treadmill (15 min. incline walking, 10 min. run) before deciding that was enough cardio for the day. I just wasn’t feeling the whole cardio thang, so I headed upstairs and into a 6 a.m. yoga class.

I haven’t taken a yoga class in the longest time and I felt like even more of an amateur than I usually do. If someone would like to send me some hamstrings that actually stretch, I would be much obliged.

Breakfast

After yoga and a walk with Sadie, I was more than ready for breakfast.

Breakfast came together quickly thanks to some prep work last night.

keurig brewing 004

Uber chocolaty overnight oats!

I think I added a bit too much almond milk to the mix because the overnight oats were a little too liquidy at first. Once I stirred in some frozen banana slices and a scoop of peanut butter, the mixture thickened up a bit and was much more appetizing.

keurig brewing 006

Okay, so it still looks like dung, but it was delicious.

And check this out:

keurig brewing 001

The Keurig, brewin’ like a champ!

I’m loving this machine so far and can’t wait to buy a bunch of flavored coffee pods. I’ve been working my way through the sampler pack that came with the coffee maker and am anxious to get some new flavors to try. Ryan and I also heard that it can make hot chocolate! Who knew?

Time to get crackin’ on today’s to-do list. I have a meeting scheduled with a friend who owns a t-shirt company to discuss those PBF t-shirts I mentioned many moons ago. Should be a fun one!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I’m not a coffee drinker but I LOVE our Keurig at home to make a quick cup of tea. 🙂

I would recommend that you try to fin one of the hot chocolate k cups and try it before you buy a whole box. i did this and was really dissapointed. It is not that chocolatey. I ended up having the add more cocoa powder, it was actually pretty gross. I wont ever buy them, id rather just make hot cocoa from scratch.

Awww that is precious. Very cute! And the oats aren’t quite as cute but they still look delicious. I’m not a huge keurig fan but in the fall, they come out with a pumpkin flavor and it is like the best coffee EVER.

I love the picture of the swans! How adorable! 🙂

I had to laugh at your Sheboygan reference. I live in Milwaukee, WI, and there’s a morning radio show here, Kramp & Adler, that does a feature called “Who’s More Sheboygan?” They basically detail two “out there” stories that they get from weekly police records (the incidents had to have either happened in Sheboygan, and/or the people involved must be from there), and then let listeners vote on who is more “Sheboygan.” (http://www.fm1021milwaukee.com/morning/sheboygan.php)

It is highly amusing! (Or possibly offensive to those from Sheboygan? No offense intended on my part to anyone who might be!)

The Keurig has refillable pods you can buy– my family uses the refillable ones to have coffee that we can’t find in the pods (and its cheaper to refill than buy pods!). When I don’t put a pod in it, I use it for hot water to make instant soup, hot chocolate (although you CAN use pods for this), apple cider, tea, etc. Definitely a nifty little machine 🙂

Coming to you LIVE from Wisconsin 🙂 If you can get past the winters – which seem to be getting longer – it’s a great place to live! I’ve lived here my whole life and won’t be leaving anytime soon (if ever). And I’m a super proud UW-Madison alum – On Wisconsin!

I do have to correct an earlier commenter, though (but it kind of makes it worse). We don’t call them FIPs…It’s FIBs – F***in Illinois Bastards. However, I was schooled when I spent a summer interning in Peoria, IL. It’s actually people from Chicago that we’re trained to dislike in WI. They’re a breed all their own.

On a different note, those swans are super cute! I’m always a little afraid of swans, because I know they can be mean. But how can a bird as sweet as this mama swan be mean??

I must mention that there is also a Cheboygan in Michigan! (spelled differently though). I used to have a t-shirt that said Cheboygan 4H and I loved it so much. My boyfriend now says “Cheboygan!” when he’s mad instead of “SH*T!” It’s hilarious.

Yes! I received a Keurig last Christmas, my bf LOVES the hot chocolate pods (he isn’t a coffee drinker).

My current faves are the Donut House and Kona Blend pods. I find that usually Amazon has the cheapest pods (though Bed, Bath, and Beyond has good deals too…especially with the coupon).

Super cute!! I love bird family sightings!

My brother, sister and I all came from IL to have our after parties for prom at the Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan 🙂 When I started the trend, my group even made a t-shirt that said “Sheboygan: Where The Party’s At” — we thought it was so random since most other ppl went to Lake Geneva or the Dells.

If you buy the Hot Cocoa on Amazon (I bought the Green Mountain for the boyfriend who doesn’t like coffee – and wasn’t aware it was a double pack, so 96 k-cups of hot cocoa that have yet to be consumed… so beware!) 🙂
