Banana Bread Batter Oats + Giveaway

August 11, 2011 by Julie 748 Comments

Egg patties!? Again?

Yes, again. Apparently our hotel is keen on egg patties these days which means I am left to assemble a breakfast out of the buffet’s side items.

Thankfully I love oatmeal and really love peanut butter, so peanut butter oats isn’t a bad fallback meal in the least.

I added banana slices to the mix today which made this bowl of oatmeal taste a lot like hot banana bread batter. Oh baby!

The half the of the banana that didn’t make it into my oatmeal made it into mah belly.

As you can see from the background of the above picture, Ryan ate the egg patties. He swears they’re “not that bad.” I’m sorry but I just can’t seem to get myself excited about bright yellow hockey pucks.

But I can get myself excited for a giveaway!

Stonyfield Activia Giveaway

A few weeks ago I was contacted by the wonderful people at Stonyfield about sampling their new organic Activia yogurt, the first organic yogurt out there to contain the probiotic culture Bifidus Regularis®(Bifidobacterium Lactis DN 173-010), which can help naturally regulate the digestive system when eaten daily for two weeks as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

I brought a bunch of the yogurts to the hotel where Ryan and I are staying and they’ve served as great go-to snacks in the late morning or afternoon when I’ve wanted something sweet and creamy.

The yogurt is currently available in vanilla and strawberry and I love them both… and I love them both together! Combining the strawberry and vanilla yogurts and topping them with some granola or chopped pecans has been my favorite hotel room snack lately.

Stonyfield wants to share the wealth with you guys! And the best part? Five readers will win coupon packs, valid for a two-weeks’ supply of the yogurt!

To enter this giveaway, simply comment on this post, telling me what flavor of yogurt you typically like best.

For an extra entry you may:

  • Tweet some variation of the following: Hoping to win some @Stonyfield yogurt through @PBFingers delicious giveaway: http://ow.ly/60BfI

Please be sure to comment back on this post, telling me that you tweeted!

I will randomly select FIVE winners tomorrow morning.

Good luck!

Strawberry/Banana without chunks in it ( I can’t handle the texture of the chunks in creamy yogurt) or lemon.

    Hey Julie,
Last June I went to an all inclusive in Mexico and had to endure the buffet. The first couple of days were great but buffet food gets old very fast! I feel for you, hang in there with your buffet breakfasts.

Oh, and my favorite is vanilla!

Love vanilla yogurt or really any type of Greek yogurt. Although what really makes the perfect combo is what type of granola you use. Thank goodness I’m at home right now, and my parents are funding my experimentation with various granola. I’d love to add different yogurt to the mix!

Vanilla is my all time favourite. I
actually hate pre-added fruit in my yogourt because it always seems to have a creepy slimy texture that makes my skin crawl! Added strawberries and blueberries, however, almost always get tossed in 🙂
