Banana Bread Batter Oats + Giveaway

August 11, 2011 by Julie 748 Comments

Egg patties!? Again?

Yes, again. Apparently our hotel is keen on egg patties these days which means I am left to assemble a breakfast out of the buffet’s side items.

Thankfully I love oatmeal and really love peanut butter, so peanut butter oats isn’t a bad fallback meal in the least.

I added banana slices to the mix today which made this bowl of oatmeal taste a lot like hot banana bread batter. Oh baby!

The half the of the banana that didn’t make it into my oatmeal made it into mah belly.

As you can see from the background of the above picture, Ryan ate the egg patties. He swears they’re “not that bad.” I’m sorry but I just can’t seem to get myself excited about bright yellow hockey pucks.

But I can get myself excited for a giveaway!

Stonyfield Activia Giveaway

A few weeks ago I was contacted by the wonderful people at Stonyfield about sampling their new organic Activia yogurt, the first organic yogurt out there to contain the probiotic culture Bifidus Regularis®(Bifidobacterium Lactis DN 173-010), which can help naturally regulate the digestive system when eaten daily for two weeks as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

I brought a bunch of the yogurts to the hotel where Ryan and I are staying and they’ve served as great go-to snacks in the late morning or afternoon when I’ve wanted something sweet and creamy.

The yogurt is currently available in vanilla and strawberry and I love them both… and I love them both together! Combining the strawberry and vanilla yogurts and topping them with some granola or chopped pecans has been my favorite hotel room snack lately.

I allllways go for the vanilla yogurt cause I can add pretty much anything to it to change it up. I’d so go for cherry vanilla too, though. 🙂

Flavored…. hmm that one’s tough. I REALLY like the pomegranate and mango flavors by Chobani, but I recently had clementine flavor and that was awesome too!
