Elegant?

April 14, 2011 by Julie 63 Comments

Good morning, friends!

Happy One Day ‘Til Friday! Rolling on the floor laughingWeee!

My day began the easy-breezy way with a very light workout at the gym. Ryan and I hopped on side-by-side ellipticals to pound out some cardio and about 10 minutes into my workout, I remembered that I am participating in a 5k tonight! The race is taking place in downtown Orlando and 15,000 people are expected to be running. It’s a corporate 5k, so companies all over Central Florida have created teams within their offices.

Since I was already at the gym and didn’t want to leave without Ryan, I spent a total of 30 minutes on the elliptical and kept things very light so I’ll have plenty of energy for tonight’s race.

I selected a magazine from the magazine rack and zoned out while peddling away.

2011-04-14_06-52-03_664

Orlando Leisure from April 2004? Can you tell there were slim pickings today?

The magazine managed to keep me amused, especially when I stumbled upon a fashion article, subtitled “timeless elegance.”

2011-04-14_07-09-05_42

Someone please tell me what it is about this outfit that says “timeless elegance” because I am at a loss.

2011-04-14_07-05-51_484

I’m pretty sure JWoww would be all over that little number.

Breakfast

After my not-so-sweaty gym session, I came home, took Sadie on a quick walk, showered and headed into the kitchen.

I popped a Thomas’ cinnamon raisin bagel thin in the toaster and let it brown while I sliced a frozen banana.

I topped the toasted bagel with a smear of peanut butter, banana slices, nutmeg and chia seeds.

My grandma  knit that blue pot holder that I used as my napkin. She’s so talented! She’s also the mastermind behind a scarf that once appeared on the Fashion page.

This breakfast hit the spot! I’m not gonna lie though… I kind of missed my usual smoothie. Winking smile

Time for work. I have a package to drop off at UPS, so I gotta boogie!

Stay tuned for an amazing guest post this afternoon. If you love to travel (especially to Europe) I have a feeling you’re gonna love it!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I love how you and Ryan are doing cardio together now. I used to hate using equipment right next to my boyfriend.. (we ususally run… so we can’t chate as much) … I would go to the OTHER side of the cardio area. Now we are doing it side by side. As weird as it sounds it brings up closer!

Nuts! I’m actually going to try to skip out of my office a bit early today so that I can miss all of the traffic- I know it’s going to be CRAZY!

I have recently become a magazine-subscription-junkie, so usually I’m prepared for the gym when I do cardio that allows me to read! My 2 favorites are: Oxygen mag & then my guilty pleasure: Us Weekly! What’s your favorite? (besides Orlando Leisure!)

    Good luck tonight!
