Goodreads

March 12, 2012 by Julie 95 Comments

Has anyone started reading this month’s book club selection?

overnight oats 014

I ended up staying up entirely too late reading last night.

For some reason this book makes me incredibly antsy and uneasy. I keep waiting for something awful to happen as I read each page which makes me read it for an inordinate amount of time every time I sit down with the book. I only have 30 pages or so left, so I’m assuming I’ll finish it at bedtime tonight. It definitely draws me in!

Speaking of reading, are any of you guys on Goodreads?

The website is pretty darn cool and allows you to keep track of the books you’ve read, browse books your friends are reading and receive recommendations for books you may like based on the ratings you give to other books you’ve read.

good reads

That’s a little glimpse of my Goodreads ratings page.

You may find me on Goodreads here. Let’s be friends! Smile

Workout

This morning’s workout was the same as last Monday’s boot camp workout, but the tempo of every exercise changed, making it even harder. I actually had to decrease my weights on several of the exercises to make it through the workout without compromising my form.

Just like last week, the Bosu lunges kicked my butt. One day lunges won’t make me want to keel over. One day.

Breakfast

I think I may have a muesli obsession. After eating muesli overnight oats several times last week and making muesli almond date bars yesterday, you’d think I’d be muesli-ed out.

Not so!

overnight oats 001

overnight oats 005

I actually made granola with the muesli over the weekend as well and could not stop eating it by the handful. Something about all of the nuts, seeds and dried fruits simply calls to me!

Question of the Morning

  • What food can you currently not get enough of every day?

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Museli is really good! I’ve only had it once but I have a big bag of it in my pantry. I should really try some of your recipes with it. 🙂

I eat a banana every single day. I love them.

I pretty much have to have a banana and some sort of nut butter every day, whether it be peanut butter, almond butter, or sunflower seed butter. Yummm.

I swear that I have to eat at least a spoon full of peanut butter everyday. If I don’t have it at breakfast than I have it for a snack, if not a snack than as a dessert, etc! One way or another, I end up eating a little each day!

Totally agree, those bosu lunges are hard! I lost my balance a couple of times and ended up entertaining the people at the gym. I’m really enjoying the bootcamp though. I love being challenged and having a workout plan to follow makes my gym sessions so much more organized.
Right now, I can’t get enough of raspberries, mango and the chocolate fudge brownie I baked yesterday 🙂

I am ADDICTED to Goodreads! I’ve been on it for about 2 years and love keeping track of my reading on there. It’s fun to go back and look over what I’ve read & to find suggestions based on that. I also belong to the 100+ books per year group (which I seem to come so close to making every year…but not quite). Do you belong to any group?

I eat Greek yogurt every single day. It’s so good and it keeps me so full—and it’s also crazy versatile. I feel like I can eat it at every meal!

Although, I eat chocolate on a daily basis, too. Doesn’t look like I’m getting sick of that one anytime soon ; )

For some strange reason I can’t get enough Subway Veggie Delight sandwiches. Random. So this week I decided to make my own Subway sandwiches since there is really no mystery to my sandwich ingredients: bread, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and olives. So that is what I’m having for lunch!

My latest obsession is cookie butter from Trader Joe’s. I think it’s similar to Biscoff spread. I mean, it’s ground up cookies in a peanut butter consistency. Of course it’s ridiculously good. It has to be terrible for you, yet delicious. However, I’ve had a tablespoon for dessert pretty much every day since I’ve bought it. It is so, so delicious.

I also can’t get enough of tempeh for some reason, and i’m not even vegetarian! My favourite way to have it is on a toasted sandwich with a portobello mushroom cap and hummus. Yumm! 🙂 Happy Monday Julie!

I recently started reading your blog and was really excited when I saw that you also do a book club! The March book came at perfect time, as I had been looking for a new book to start. I was unsure at first if I’d like the book, not something I’d typically choose, but I’m really enjoying it! I feel the same way…I keep waiting for something bad or crazy to happen. Definitely a page turner! I’m looking forward to your review 🙂

I currently cant get enough bananas. Weird because i tradionally think of them as one of my least favorite fruits but i eat at least 1-2 a day right now. They are just so easy, versatile, cheap, and filling
