Harry & David Fresh Fruit Basket Giveaway

February 1, 2013 by Julie 2,843 Comments

Happy Friday! How about a giveaway to kick off your Friday morning?

If you adore high-quality fruit, today’s giveaway will be right up your alley.

Harry & David Fruit Basket

Back in October I had the honor of touring the incredible Harry & David orchards in Medford, Oregon with a handful of other bloggers. It was a truly unforgettable trip and I fell in love with the company, their delicious food and beautiful Oregon!

Harry & David Bloggers

I’ve stayed in touch with the folks at Harry & David and was awfully excited when one of their incredible gift baskets showed up at my doorstep last Saturday.

Harry & David Basket

The basket was the company’s Fresh Fruit Basket Deluxe and I immediately pulled all of the different kinds of delicious fresh fruit out of the basket to check out the goods!

Harry & David Fruit Basket

As of this morning, Ryan and I have made our way through 90 percent of the basket and were, once again, impressed with the high quality of the fruit Harry & David delivered. Every single piece of fruit was blemish-free and full of flavor.

Naturally the company’s pears deserve a lot of praise, but I was particularly impressed with the quality of the mango, kiwi and pineapple in this basket!

Harry & David Pineapple

I swear this stuff is like fruit candy. So sweet!

Harry & David Fruit Basket

As for the gift basket itself, you better believe I kept it. We’re now using it as a pretty way to store towels.

And now here’s your chance to win your own Harry & David Fresh Fruit Basket Deluxe!

In the basket:

  • 3 Royal Riviera Pears
  • 4 Apples
  • 2 Kiwi
  • Papaya
  • Pineapple
  • Baby Bananas
  • 2 Limes
  • Avocado
  • Mango

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below, telling me what fruit you’re most excited to try in the basket, or, if you’d like to send the basket to someone else as a surprise, please comment telling me who you’d send it to and why. I will randomly select a winner on Monday morning.

Good luck!

That’s the best looking pineapple I’ve ever seen cut open, haha. I’ve heard so much about those pears, I’d love to try them.

The pears! I’ve never had a H&D pear, so I feel like I need to try it. I never think to buy myself a fruit basket, so I’d love to win one!!! 🙂

My mouth waters every time I hear “Harry & David.” As much as I would love to try the pineapple and mango, I would love to send this basket to my parents. My parents do so much for me, and I think this would be a great way to say ‘thank-you.’ And my parents are fruit lovers! My dad is a total sucker for good citrus fruits which are hard to find in Chicago this time of year. I’m sure they would have the basket polished off in a couple days.

I am most excited about the mango! However, I would love to share this basket with my husband because his goal for 2013 is to lower his cholesterol and stay heart-healthy! As a nursing student, I really try to incorporate the “patient teaching” about healthy living that I am learning in my classes and bring those lessons home with me.

Hi Julie! I would LOVE to try those pears. I’ve stayed away from pears since I was a kid because I don’t really like the grainy texture. BUT as I get older, there are way more things I’ve tried and loved so it’d be nice to incorporate one more thing into the mix…especially since I’ve heard such great things from you!

Although I would LOVE to try the avocado and pineapple, I’d give the basket to my grandma. She’s the sweetest person in the world but shes been quite sick for a long time now and delicious fruit would be the perfect pick me up! She loves sweets but it sounds like this fruit will be just as sweet as the desserts she likes!

I would definitely enjoy just about every fruit that comes in the basket, but my all time favorite is definitely pineapples. They look so delicious in your photos; I can only imagine what they would taste like! It makes me miss my vacation this past summer to Hawaii where pineapples ultimately made their way into just about every meal we had! 🙂

    Good Morning,
I am so excited to see another giveaway, especially for this delectable and healthy treat! If I won the basket, I would share it with my Cycle for Survival Team: Team Sass on February 10th in Boston, Ma. Our team is already BEYOND excited about this event, and this beautifully displayed fruit would simply add to the camaraderie!
A great friend of mine was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor during the summer of 2011, and had surgery a year ago this February 14th. As a fund and spirit raiser, we are participating a team in the Sloan and Kettering’s Cycle for Survival cycle-a-thon to raise money for rare cancers. Feel free to check out our team page in the link below:
    http://mskcc.convio.net/site/TR/CycleforSurvival/AG_Cycle_Event?pg=team&fr_id=1815&team_id=23304
Since her diagnosis, Sarah and many of her friends and family have switched to a vegan lifestyle, so this basket would be the ideal snack for our team in between cycling shifts. Thanks so much for the opportunity, and good luck to the other contestants!
    Jeanie
