Harry & David Fresh Fruit Basket Giveaway

February 1, 2013 by Julie 2,843 Comments

Happy Friday! How about a giveaway to kick off your Friday morning?

If you adore high-quality fruit, today’s giveaway will be right up your alley.

Harry & David Fruit Basket

Back in October I had the honor of touring the incredible Harry & David orchards in Medford, Oregon with a handful of other bloggers. It was a truly unforgettable trip and I fell in love with the company, their delicious food and beautiful Oregon!

Harry & David Bloggers

I’ve stayed in touch with the folks at Harry & David and was awfully excited when one of their incredible gift baskets showed up at my doorstep last Saturday.

Harry & David Basket

The basket was the company’s Fresh Fruit Basket Deluxe and I immediately pulled all of the different kinds of delicious fresh fruit out of the basket to check out the goods!

Harry & David Fruit Basket

As of this morning, Ryan and I have made our way through 90 percent of the basket and were, once again, impressed with the high quality of the fruit Harry & David delivered. Every single piece of fruit was blemish-free and full of flavor.

Naturally the company’s pears deserve a lot of praise, but I was particularly impressed with the quality of the mango, kiwi and pineapple in this basket!

Harry & David Pineapple

I swear this stuff is like fruit candy. So sweet!

Harry & David Fruit Basket

As for the gift basket itself, you better believe I kept it. We’re now using it as a pretty way to store towels.

And now here’s your chance to win your own Harry & David Fresh Fruit Basket Deluxe!

In the basket:

  • 3 Royal Riviera Pears
  • 4 Apples
  • 2 Kiwi
  • Papaya
  • Pineapple
  • Baby Bananas
  • 2 Limes
  • Avocado
  • Mango

To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below, telling me what fruit you’re most excited to try in the basket, or, if you’d like to send the basket to someone else as a surprise, please comment telling me who you’d send it to and why. I will randomly select a winner on Monday morning.

Good luck!

Wow, what a wonderful giveaway! You rock! I’m particularly interested in the pears– I HATE pears… but you keep saying how good the H&D ones are, and it makes me curious!

Can you believe I’m from Oregon and have never had a Harry and David pear?! Craziness. I will cross my fingers for this one. 🙂

I personally would LOVE the pineapple!! But I wouldn’t want the basket for myself, I would love for my sister, Monica ( we call her Mo) to have it! She is a mother of three great kids…one girl and two boys. She works full time ( she’s an attorney) and she is a great mom! A lot of times as parents, all of the attention goes to the family (rightfully so) and we forget a little of that attention for ourselves! It would be nice if she were to come home and see that lovely basket waiting for her…just something nice for her (that she will of course share).

how do they get those pears to be so perfectly green?!?!?! lovin’ those!
and the potential for using everything else in a smoothie or juiced to mix into a _____tini is very possible if they aren’t eaten “as is” first 🙂

I’d really love to send this to my mom. I like to do anything that will put a smile on her face because she’s an awesome lady! And she loves fruit and I don’t think she’s ever had fresh mango or papaya! P.S. Love you blog!

It would be awesome for my family to win this basket! We have been taking steps over the past year to be more healthy, especially in our diets- fresh fruits and veggies, trying different foods, less processed foods etc… Now I crave apples instead of starbursts!!

Your blog has helped jump start my healthy eating and this fruit basket would help me stay on track, focusing on healthy sweets instead of those indulgent ones. There are 2 fruits I am most excited about: the mango because I love all things tropical and the pineapple because I could share it with my husband who also needs a bit of a jump start in the healthy eating departent!
