National Peanut Butter Day

January 24, 2011 by Julie 80 Comments

As some of you pointed out to me through Twitter and this morning’s post, today is National Peanut Butter Day! How could I have missed that!?

In honor of this amazing holiday (yes, holiday), here are some of my all-time favorite peanut butter recipes:

  • Peanut Butter Pretzel Truffles
  • Pumpkin Peanut Butter French Toast

Pumpkin Peanut Butter French Toast

  • Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies
  • Apple, Peanut Butter and Granola Sandwich
  • Peanut Butter-Stuffed French Toast
  • Cinnamon Peanut Butter Roasted Chickpeas

And there’s always the classic peanut butter finger. I don’t need a fancy recipe to enjoy a swipe of the good stuff!

Lunch

Peanut butter managed to find its way into my lunch today in the form of peanut butter M&Ms!

Peanutty

Lunchtime appetizers included a fun size (that term is debatable…) packet of peanut butter and peanut M&Ms. PB M&Ms are definitely my favorite kind of the little chocolate candies. They trump all others! (Side note: They should totally make caramel M&Ms.)

After I got my chocolate fix, I enjoyed a childhood favorite: English muffin pizzas!

EMP

Served with a sliced red pepper and a tumbler full of hot tea, this lunch was the jam!

Put a Lil' Pep in Yo' Step

The Meal Deal

So happy that red, yellow and orange peppers were on sale at the grocery store this weekend! 😀

Fashion Page Update

I am trying my hardest to figure out how to create a dynamic fashion page for PBF. I have no idea how to post posts to pages, so if any of you out there have the know-how PLEASE let me know! Some baked goods may be in your future if you can help me figure it out. Yes, that is a bribe… 😉

Until then, here’s a glimpse at today’s ensemble.

Monday Outfit

  • Lace dress: Velvet Touch (via Marshalls)
  • Black cardigan: Guess
  • Brown leather belt: J.Crew (A Christmas present from my sister. Thanks, Leslie!)
  • Black tights (with an unseen hole in the tookus): J. Crew
  • Boots: Colin Stewart (via Victoria’s Secret)

See ya for dinner my peanut butter-loving friends! 😀

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Wish I knew how to help in the page department, but sadly I’m technologically inept. Those PB M&Ms have always been my favorite too….I used to buy them every day at lunch in middle school. Not really healthy, but they sure made me happy. It’s been too long since I had any!

Wish I could help with the page issue…maybe you could just post them as normal posts and link to them in the fashion page?

hey! they actually did used to make caramel m&m’s (they were called dulce de leche) and only sold them in areas with a large hispanic population (including miami where i used to live). apparently they didn’t catch on so m&m’s stopped making them! just wikipedia’ed it and it says that apparently part of why they didn’t catch on was because they had 39 grams of fat per serving…way more than all other kinds of m&m’s!

I think there is a way you can make a page that shows only certain categories. You could have you main blog exclude the fashion category and a separate page that contains only fashion. Just thinking out loud…

As far as what you’re trying to do, it seems most blogs only give you one page for automatic posts. Here is a link for more info as to the why:

    http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/adding-posts-to-pages-2

On one of my pages, I was able to add links to the top of the page that would bring up that spot on the same page further down below. Is that clear as mud? Sorry!

Let me know and I could give you some sample code if you’re interested.

A very good holiday indeed, though sadly I cannot partake. It’s my first pregnancy and in the name of all things paranoia, I’m avoiding peanut butter to hopefully stave off future allergies in my spawn. I don’t think i could handle living for 18 years in a peanut-free house!
If they could morph dark chocolate, peanut butter and pretzel M&Ms, I think the world would be a better place.
I’m going to echo the compliments on mixing black and brown!

Are you still using wordpress? If so, I think under menus, you can set it up so a page pulls all posts from a certain category or tag. That might work.

I usually just type the title of the post on the page (or whatever I want it to be called), then make it link back to the post. I open up a separate window and copy and paste the hyperlink from the post I want it to reference. I used to do this for my recipes before my husband made me a handy dandy link adder thingy, which organizes and alphabetizes all of my recipes for me. Love your outfit. I love all things lacy. 🙂
