Non-Stop Sunday

March 13, 2011 by Julie 41 Comments

This morning, thanks to the time change, we lost and hour of our day. Apparently losing an hour affects us quite a bit because I feel like we’ve been hustling and bustling since we awoke!

Once we were out of bed, Ryan and I ate a quick breakfast before leashing up Sadie and driving 30 minutes to his 9 a.m. soccer game.

soccer 026

On my plate: A tortilla microwaved with Colby jack cheese and a smear of raspberry jelly, along with fresh strawberries and a cup of strawberry banana Chobani Greek yogurt.

soccer 028

Don’t knock the cheese + jelly combo ‘til you’ve tried it!

Soccer Game

With some food in our bellies, we drove out to the Seminole soccer fields where Sadie and I cheered on our favorite guy.

soccer 024

Sadie is such a good little fan! She didn’t miss a play… that is until a squirrel came running by to taunt her.

soccer 023

Once Ryan’s game was over (they tied), we drove home to grab a snack and quickly change before heading right back out.

We swung by Plato’s Closet to drop off some of my old clothes and jewelry (we got $13 for some stuff… the rest will be going to Goodwill) and then drove on to church to attend the 12:30 p.m. service.

soccer 032

After church we ran some errands. First stop: Target!

soccer 030

We stocked up on laundry detergent, Q-tips, toothpaste, my favorite vitamins, face wash and gum before driving to Publix to pick up our food for the week.

While grocery shopping, we were both hit with some serious hunger and picked up sushi for lunch.

soccer 033

We got the Hawaiian roll which was basically a tuna roll covered in a whole bunch of fun stuff.

soccer 035

Paired with a cup of chocolate whipped yogurt, this late lunch hit the spot!

Our non-stop day isn’t over yet. I still have ambitions to do some cleaning and then I have a few things I want to work on for the old blog.

First up: Updating my iPod with some new jams! Stay tuned for a new rockin’ playlist.

In case you’re on the lookout for some new workout songs, here are some of my other playlist posts:

  • Half Marathon Playlist
  • Rockin’ Playlist
  • Disney Playlist
  • ’90s Playlist
  • Run, Run, Run Playlist

See ya in a bit!

I agree — we slept in a little today and I feel like the day has totally gotten away from me! It usually takes me a day or two to adjust to the time change. Tomorrow morning will be interesting — I hope I don’t sleep in and am late for work — eek!

Totally agree that this day seems to be going on fast forward! I absolutely love greek yogurt & was really excited to see that Chobani is available at Costco in individual sizes! And since it takes over a month for yogurt to expire, I can actually buy the massive Costco size & not worry about it expiring. 🙂

Plato’s closet is so frustrating! I take huge bags of stuff there and only walk out with $14. What they have in that store vs. what they take of my stuff is awful. I get so mad, I refuse to go back in there for a while.
    Have a great day!

    Hey Julie!
I have always read your blog but never actually commented (I am quite lazy at times) But I do enjoy your posts tremendously!

Speaking of playlist, I jam to this band while I am at the gym as well but they are a small indie band based in Canada.

I have all their music so if you really like them, I can send you the files! (You can only download one of their songs currently)

Thanks for posting a link to Plato’s Closet. I’ve never heard of it before and decided to see if there is a location near my house (there’s not). I was thrilled to see that there is one in the town my parents live in Florida. Next time I have things to donate I’ll have to check it out. I usually go right up the road to where the Goodwill truck is to drop off donations. This location is a little bit closer.

Wait – that’s all you bought at Tar-jay? How do you do it? Hee. It’s rare that I can walk out of there without spending $50.

Glad to hear you’ve had the same experience with Plato’s Closet. I’ve brought decent/trendy stuff there (Banana Republic, Gap, Loft, Express, etc) and they always end up wanting the stuff I bought at Target — and give me like $2 for it. Whatevs!

If you like the cheese and jam combo on the quesadilla, try it on your eggs too.

I made egg omelet and stuffed it with a some nut butters and jam. Sweet + savory thing going on. Just like you said, don’t knock it til you try it right?
