PBF Overload

June 10, 2010 by Julie 35 Comments

I have a very intense and passionate relationship with peanut butter. Most days our relationship is healthy and balanced. On some days, however, I get a little needy.

Like today, for instance.

One of Many PBFs

This morning I could not get my finger out of the peanut butter jar!

My victim of choice was Krema crunchy peanut butter which I received from the company to sample.

Krema Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter

I am a chunky-pb fanatic, and I couldn’t get over just how crunchy this peanut butter was!

Check Out the Chunks

There were tons of peanutty chunks in every peanut butter finger I enjoyed, and believe me, I had a bunch.

Since peanut butter fingers dominated my morning and I’m pretty sure I ate 300+ calories worth of the good stuff, I kept my breakfast on the lighter side.

I toasted a sweet wheat Alternative Bagel before topping it with two tablespoons of chocolate PB2.

Chocolate PB is Fine By Me

Thursday Breakfast

Like every morning, I also enjoyed a chocolatey calcium supplement (I switch off between Viactiv and Adora calcium disks).

Adora Calcium Disk

This was one PB-tastic way to start the day!

Workout

I think my body was craving the calories from peanut butter after a 5-mile run with Sadie.

During our run we were sprayed by three different sprinklers! Floridians apparently enjoy watering their sidewalks as well… 😉

I can get Krema at my local store and have never been tempted until you just showed the inside of the jar. I don’t always care for crunchy peanut butter, but that looks delicious!

I can’t do chunky pb. I’m not that big a fan of peanut butter (!) to want a crunch. I wouldn’t mind chocolate pb with chocolate chunks, though.

hahahaha this post literally made me laugh at my computer screen! just about an hour ago i had my spoon stuck in the EXACT same peanut butter…it’s seriously all of the peanut chunks that makes it IMPOSSIBLE for me to take my spoon out of the jar. i’m glad we both enjoyed our fair share of it this morning! 🙂

I am quite familiar with the Siren song of PB… Although I don’t discriminate too much, crunchy PB is truly a food after my own heart. The crunchier the better!

Honestly, Id say that was still restraint on your part as I have actually consumed an entire jar in a sitting… ; /. i should be called “peanut butter fistfulls” haha
PS crunchy ALL the way. sometimes i even take som crushed peanuts (honey roasted is awesome) and put them in smooth.

Krema PB is THE BEST! I have a hard time keeping my finger out of there too. I like Adora better than Viactiv – it’s more like real chocolate – but at my grocery they are way more expensive 🙁

i did a LOT of low-impact cardio (elliptical, biking, swimming) & tried to keep up w/ strength training as well. it was hard not being able to do intense exercise for a while, but doing SOMETHING was better than nothing!
