Poop Bag Purse

December 6, 2011 by Julie 86 Comments

After lunch today, I ended up taking my laptop to Starbucks to get some work done. I needed to get out of the house because I was having a hard time getting in the zone today and figured a change in scenery would serve me well.

With a Frappuccino in hand, I was much more productive!

And did you notice my new name? Apparently I’m “Sue” today.

I swear I said “Julie,” but this is the same Starbucks that spelled my name “Jewlie,” so I guess getting assigned a totally new name isn’t too far off base. Sue is also my mom’s name, so it made me smile!

Ryan even stopped by Starbucks around 1:30 on his lunch break to say hi, grab a drink and chat for a bit before heading back to work.

Christmas Shopping

Since I was still on his side of town when he got off work for the day, we decided to meet up and knock out some Christmas shopping.

We were quite successful and found some gifts for my mom, sister and mother-in-law.

While shopping we also picked up a poop bag purse for Sadie!

Ever since we moved to Ocala from Orlando, we’ve really missed having free poop bag stations all over the city (Orlando was incredibly dog friendly) and figured having a little poop bag purse permanently affixed to Sadie’s leash would solve the problem of forgetting to grab a bag on the way out the door.

Plus, it’s awfully stylish, don’t you think?

During our shopping adventure, Ryan tried to convince me to buy gingerbread cookies in a tube, claiming it was the “coolest idea ever,” until I pointed out that it was a bottle of lotion and not cookie dough.

(In his defense, it was on a bottom shelf where the “hand & body cream” text wasn’t easily seen.) I then had one bummed out husband on my hands. If any of you are looking for business ideas, cookie dough-in-a-tube apparently is a winner.

Dinner

Once we arrived home from shopping, it was dinnertime. We were both quite hungry and a quick meal was in order.

Ravioli with zucchini, spinach and mushrooms came together fast.

Gotta love pasta poofs!

I swear the veggies are under there somewhere.

Time to wrap some Christmas presents!

P.S. Those are my J.Crew mistletoe pajamas that I got on Christmas Eve last year. (It’s a tradition in my family to get new pajamas on Christmas Eve… one I hope to continue one day!)  And yes, I most definitely wear them year-round.

That poop bag thing is brilliant! I need one ASAP. The town where my dogs live has lots of those little bag recepticles, but I still want one.

I totally think that your cup said “Jul” and then another barista misread it too. 🙂

Christmas PJs are a tradition in my family too, but my mom always sews us PJ bottoms and then buys totally dorky christmas shirts to match them!

Julie! Not to sound like a creep but WHERE is your grey pullover top from? I have one a lot like it from Target but I’ve been trying to match this one top Natalie Portman wears in Black Swan (I know, I am insane)and yours looks like a much better match. Even if it’s from a previous season I would really love to know. Seriously, I am dying to know. Your mistletoe pajamas are so cute too!

The other week you were looking for an alternate word to use cause you don’t like repeating the same word in the same sentence (I totally understand), anyway the word Hullabaloo came up. While back reading your blog I came a cross a post that starts with “Holy Hullabaloo! :)” I just had to share cause I know there were a few replies out there wanting you to use it :*

The post is from Oct 09 and is called Yes, It’s True: McDonald’s Has a Pumpkin Milkshake.

OMG!! I swear the same exact thing happened to me at Starbucks on Saturday! I told them my name is Kanoe(it’s Hawaiian & a mouthful & diffcult so I spelled it for her 🙂 ) I look at my Creme Brule Latte and the name on it is “Lauren”. Yes people I said it…. Lauren LOL!! How she got Lauren from Kanoe I have no idea but it was hilarious!! 🙂 Good times at Starbucks!! 😀

#1 I laughed out loud at work about the cookie dough in a tube… something my husband would do (and be incredibly disappointed about)

#2 You are so tan! I’m missing my summer glow!

#3 Super cute jammies! I love getting new PJs… never thought about starting a PJ tradition, but I love the idea!

I just bought a similar poop bag holder for Joby! His is blue, of course, and I love it (already used it TWICE on our run yesterday)! I think it is funny how many families have “Christmas Pajama” traditions, I totally thought my Grandma (Dad’s mom) had come up with it when my dad was little… I am pretty sure the ONLY pj pants I own are Christmas themed. It always makes for great family pictures Christmas morning, and I also cannot wait to continue the tradition when I (eventually) have kids. 🙂

I’m glad to see that someone else has the PJs on Christmas Eve tradition (and still do it!) my sister and I are 25 and 26 and we still get PJs on Christmas Eve! :o)
…I’m planning on continuing that tradition too!

P.S. A puppy is numero uno on my wish list this year, so I may need to invest in some stylin’ poop bags myself 😛
