Pre Beer Fest Fuel

May 15, 2010 by Julie 19 Comments

When you know you’re going to be knockin’ back beer (after beer, after beer), it’s wise to fill up with a hearty breakfast!

Breakfast of Champions

This morning Ryan and I woke up early (Why can’t we sleep past 7 a.m!?), and headed to the gym. We parted ways and I headed to the cardio room for 20 minutes of light cardio before BodyPump, while Ryan hit the weight room.

BodyPump was great, as always. I’m so glad they offer an early-morning Saturday BodyPump class. So many of my gym’s weekend classes occur during the late morning on the weekend and I like checking my workout off my to-do list first thing.

When we came home our tummies were growlin’ and I hit the kitchen to make us a hearty breakfast.

Today’s menu:

  • Eggs
  • Whole wheat toast
  • Canadian bacon
  • Chobani strawberry Greek yogurt

Strawberry Greek Yog

Eggs with Salt 'n' Peppa

Dippy eggs are one of the most satisfying breakfasts.

When I Dip, You Dip, We Dip

My pre-gym fuel may or may not have been a small Funfetti cookie. 😉

I’m off to shower before getting some last-minute things in order before our BBQ and BEERFEST!

Catcha lata!

Have fun today with your friends! It sure sounds like it will be fun. And who would argue with a cookie being good pre workout fuel? I know I wouldn’t. 😀

Dippy eggs are my favorite ways to eat eggs. In fact when while prepping for the bikini comp when I have felt myself getting weak for some off plan food I would make myself an egg like this and it would satisfy me and not be totally off my plan. I am only supposed to eat egg whites b/c of the fat the yolk has. Not that it is a bad for a normal diet at all just not a bikini diet.

Good job on your body pump work out this morning. What a great way to start your Saturday.

My gym has early morning Pump classes too, which is great, because I probably wouldn’t go if I had to wait until 11am…
I’m so jealous of your Beer Fest today! Have an awesome time! 🙂
