Sloppy Joe Remix

December 27, 2010 by Julie 25 Comments

Reeeeeemix! Whenever I hear the word “remix” I am reminded of the Napster days when I would download popular songs for free, only to find them “remixed” by some random kid who would randomly shout “This is the reeeeemix. DJ Ray Ray comin’ at ya!” in the middle of my new favorite song. Those were…

Monkey Me

For a while there, Ryan and I were unsure whether or not he would have to work on Christmas Eve. As you know, his work has been pretty demanding lately, so we were crossing our fingers that things would slow down enough for him to get some time off. Well, good news! That crazy face…

Peanut Butter Cup Breakfast Quesadilla

March 1, 2010 by Julie 17 Comments

Chocolate + peanut butter = best combination everrr. My breakfast today was inspired by Reese’s peanut butter cups. As I was packing this breakfast last night, Ryan asked “Where are the eggs?” He couldn’t understand how this combination constituted as a breakfast and I politely explained that it is breakfast because I’m eating it at…

I Bought THE Dress!

February 20, 2010 by Julie 13 Comments

I did it!!! I officially placed a down payment on my wedding dress. 😀 I am beyond excited!!! Today at Something Blue Bridal‘s veil and headpiece trunk show, I saw my dress in person for the fourth time. It is so beautiful and finally, after four separate appointments to see and try on this dress, I feel…

Instagram post 2191873802065169562_40044681 Slow Cooker Holiday Mulled Wine: The simple, low-maintenance, crowd-pleasing holiday beverage you've been looking for to make for your next holiday party! 🍷✨ This is my go-to recipe because it's warm and comforting and just sweet and cinnamon-y enough to feel like a festive holiday drink. ⠀
⠀
Here are the steps:⠀
⠀
Throw everything into a slow cooker⠀
Allow mulled wine to warm up on “low” for an hour⠀
Reduce to “warm” and top with a sprinkle of thinly-sliced oranges and cranberries⠀
Walk away and enjoy your party⠀
⠀
And the ingredient list is simple, too! Find the full recipe on the blog here: https://www.pbfingers.com/slow-cooker-holiday-mulled-wine/⠀
⠀
Oh and please do not feel the need to splurge on an expensive red wine for this recipe! I once had a sommelier friend of mine tell me that when it comes to making mulled wine, simply choose a red wine you like to drink. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy but it simply has to appeal to you without all of the added ingredients that morph it into a deliciously sweet holiday favorite. For this batch, I made the Slow Cooker Holiday Mulled Wine with a $6.99 bottle of Wellsley Farms’ Cabernet Sauvignon from @bjswholesale. Once you pour it into the slow cooker and fancy it up with thinly-sliced oranges 🍊 and pops of cranberry, no one will know you used a bottle of wine that cost less than $7 in the recipe anyway! Enjoy!!! #ad #mulledwine #holidaydrinks #holidayrecipes #slowcooker
