The Princess and the Pee

July 7, 2011 by Julie 137 Comments

The princess…

wheat germ cookies 020

And the pee.

No, not pea.

PEE.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, my dog likes to potty all the time.

Sadie’s pea-sized bladder was the bane of our run today.

dippy eggs 007

We set out to complete our usual five-mile loop, only my lovely running buddy decided she was going to pop a squat every half of a mile or so. We stopped at least 10 times for her to do her business. It was definitely more of a stop-start run than a fluid one.

I don’t mind stopping every now and then for Sadie’s potty breaks, but 10 times in less than 50 minutes felt a bit excessive. The air was also thick with humidity and I felt like every time we stopped, I started pouring sweat. For some reason the sweat doesn’t bother me when I’m running, but the minute I stop, I feel like the water works start and I am drenched.

Another thing I find odd? Where I sweat.

My face is literally soaked and my chest sweats like crazy, but my arm pits are completely dry. What gives? Apparently I need face and inter-boobie deodorant.

Breakfast

Post run, I came home and had one thing on the brain: Dippy eggs.

I topped one half of a toasted Thomas’ cinnamon raisin bagel thin with raspberry jelly and another half with a dippy egg and enjoyed my plate along with a cup of Greek yogurt and a hot mug of coffee.

Take that, hungry tummy.

Dippy eggs seriously rock.

My dog stops a million times to do her business too! Only she poops… I wish it were pee! It is really annoying because I usually only have one bag to scoop it up, Sometimes I stand next to her yelling, “Again?! Seriously?!!!” My neighbors probably think I am insane.

Oof! I am the same way, my face sweats an insane amount, but pits are dry! And when I am in the workout, I’m all – YAH SWEAT IT OUT, GO ME! And then I am done and I am all – eeewww look how soggy I am!

    Hence my name! I’m a SweatyGirl! 🙂

Having to stop for Sadie’s pee breaks is better than YOU having to pee the whole time. I swear, I have to pee every 15 minutes. Even if I go right before I leave for a run, I always feel like i have to go again when I get started. It’s so annoying!

Humidity is my enemy! Being in South Florida, with thick wavy hair does not make a good combo!! I have frizzball hair around this time of year!

My guess is your pregnant! And really the only reason I say that is because you haven’t posted much on your Fashion Page recently… so maybe you’re hiding a belly?! !!!!!!!

We had 95% humidity in NC this morning at 6:30am. Talk about a sweat fest for my run! I can’t even make it out the door before I stop sweating! Thank goodness for all those sprinklers that are on at that time in the morning 😉

My husky, Sasha, hates though it because it means only long walks for her, no running. She’d heat up way too fast!

I sweat a TON when I run!! It’s good to get all the toxins out, although I much prefer a more fluid run-sometimes the stop-start just makes it more difficult to keep going!

Haha you are so funny! I seem to be the same way… I don’t sweat under my arms but my face is always dripping during a run. So weird!!

I don’t know how you run in the Florida heat. As I think I’ve mentioned before, I’m from Florida… and I keep thinking if I ever move back down, I don’t know how I’m going to keep up with the running. It’s hard enough here in Ohio, where there’s a lot less humidity!! 😉

Also, random question… do you eat sushi? If so, I just found out that my FAVORITE sushi place in Gainesville opened a restaurant in Orlando. It’s called Dragonfly sushi. It’s amazing. If you like sushi, you should check it out. And then take pictures so that I can live vicariously through you! 😉

I was agreeing so much with this post as I was reading it. My female dog stops and pees all the time. You’d think it’d be the other way around with a male lifting his leg. And I also don’t start sweating that much until I stop running. The place I sweat the most is my shins. How weird is that?

You’re like my little sis! You seem so down-to-earth, funny, cute, like my cute little sister. (I know you are a big sis in real life, but still! :))

Even the laughs are like my sis’s. The kind of laughs that make other people happy. Oh my. I miss my sis now so bad 🙂 You look a little bit nervous in the video, but that’s cute, too.

I hope to see you more on TV or something 🙂

Still catching up on your blog from the past two weeks, but I wanted to ask a question before I forget.

My trip was great, BUT veggies were hard to come by in New Orleans (and in most of the houses I couch surfed my way through on my trip back north). Even worse, gluten was impossible to avoid.

I feel like my body needs a recharge after eating in ways it’s not used to anymore. I don’t want to fast or anything but a little detox might be just what the doctor ordered. How do you eat after an overindulgent trip?

Bless, poor pup, she must have a bladder like mine. Too small for comfort, lol! 😛 I can’t run with my dog Lily because she doesn’t seem to understand the concept and keeps stopping and starting… 🙂
It must be so nice to have Sadie to keep you company when you’re at home. I work from home and I get a little lonely, I’d love to have a dog in the house with me to talk to, interact with and play with! (Lily lives at my parent’s home and we live in a rental that doesn’t allow pets). One day! 🙂
I had a drippy egg atop vegetables at dinner yesterday and it was amazing! I love how the yolk oozes over everything, soooo good! <3 xyx

So funny, I was just talking about engagement lengths the other day! I currently have an internship with a wedding planner, so I know that for her, she starts assisting the brides with their planning about 9 months out, given that they booked her with 9 months to go.

I would say 6 months is the minimum, but I’d rather have 9 or 10! I can see how 13 would be a lot! Although then you get to look forward to your wedding for longer.. that’s the fun part, right?! 🙂 Guess every bride is different!
