Things I’m Loving Friday #370

May 14, 2021 by Julie 10 Comments

Hellooo to you! How are ya doing? Any fun plans this weekend? I’m not sure what all we have on the agenda for the weekend ahead but with a forecast of temperatures in the low 70s and a decent amount of sun, I have a feeling it will be something outside. Some possibilities on our radar include a family hike or a trip to a local farm to see some alpacas!

But, back to business as usual… It’s Things I’m Loving Friday time! My weekly roundup of favorites may be found below and, as always, if you’re in the mood to share a little bit about something that is making you smile this week, I’d love to hear about it in the comments section.

Enjoy your weekend, my friends!

Things I’m Loving Friday

  • Pedicure + TKEES Sandals

Are toes pictures on the internet a weird thing? Yes? Maybe? I don’t know but I was just so darn excited for my mid-week pedicure so we’re going with it. Hooray for a pedicure! And hooray for new birthday sandals! I am not very into getting my nails done but sign me up for a pedicure any day of the week. It’s been a hot second since I’ve had a pedicure (at least a year and a half) so you better believe I loved every second of my Mother’s Day surprise when I redeemed my gift card yesterday. Anyone else out there a creature of habit when it comes to toe nail polish color? I am a pink-lovin’ girl through and through!

And while we’re talking about feet, I must give a shout out to my new birthday sandals — my first pair of TKEES! The thin double strap detailing called to me and I feel like TKEES have such a classic look that can be casual or even dressed up a little bit. Love them!

  • Smeg Milk Frother

Smeg Frother

This was my big Christmas gift of 2020! I’ve held off including it in my Friday blog post because I wanted to take full advantage of all of its settings and really put it to use on a daily basis before highlighting it as a TILF favorite. To say the Smeg frother has blown me away would be a serious understatement.  I’m not going to lie, the first thing that attracted me to this frother was its appearance. I loved the retro style and bright white color and the stainless steel removable interior jug. What made me really fall in love with it, however, was the control settings. The frother does so much more than create hot, thick, beautifully frothy milk for my morning lattes. It also can create cold foam (large or small amounts — the boys LOVE this!), heat milk without frothing it and even has a hot chocolate setting! I was on a huge hot chocolate kick in the afternoons all winter long and made every single mug with this frother! You just add milk + your typical hot cocoa ingredients (sugar + cocoa powder), press the hot chocolate setting and you’re good to go! I use it every single day and love it so, so much.

  • Rhett’s Mini Amazon Haul

Sunshine Print Tank + Shorts / Navy Tank + Shorts / Orange Tank + Shorts

I feel like 90 percent of Ryder and Rhett’s clothes are hand-me-downs from Chase and some of the stuff I take out of the storage bins for Rhett is rooough. I recently decided he could use a little upgrade for the spring and summer and ordered a few things for him from Amazon. Since I know Amazon baby clothes are suuuper hit or miss, I wanted to share his mini haul here since everything I ordered ended up being a hit!! I also have these adorable baby shorts coming and cannot wait to see him in them with a cute little tee!

Also, I added these items plus some of my other favorite baby clothes I’ve ordered for our boys to my Amazon shop. I’m trying my best to continually update it so it serves as a good reference point for you guys in the future.

  • Bobo’s Oat Bars

I owe my sister and brother-in-law a big thanks for introducing me to these bars! I think they’re so good and our boys love them as well, so they’re finding their way into our pantry on a regular basis these days. As far as kid snacks go, I like that these bars have a decent amount of fat (from coconut oil) as well as some protein and fiber so they’re aren’t just another simple carb bar but have a little more staying power. They’re dense and satisfying and delicious without being overly sweet.

Does the Smeg frother actually do thick cold foam like at Starbucks? I have a frother that says it does cold foam, but it falls flat after a minute or two.

You have to try the Bobos with nut butter filling. So yum!
