Too Late to Wait

September 7, 2011 by Julie 66 Comments

Ryan and I had tentative plans to go out to eat tonight to celebrate my blog milestone (we still haven’t gone out to enjoy a sit-down meal in our new hometown since we moved back in July), but a late meeting at work for Ryan foiled our plans.

We’re thinking we may reschedule them for Friday night. Sounds good to me!

Ryan’s late meeting also meant I got hungry for dinner before he got home… and I just couldn’t seem to wait.

I didn’t want to snack and snack and snack and then not be hungry for dinner by the time he got home (this has happened one too many times!), so I just went ahead and fixed myself a plate.

apple chicken sausage 002

Tonight’s dinner included an Aidells apple chicken sausage. (Seriously I can’t bare to use descriptive words to describe a sausage because they all inevitably turn into one giant TWSS.)

I topped the sausage with the usual suspects. Ketchup, sautéed onions, relish and mustard.

apple chicken sausage 005

I’m also pretty sure every single close up picture of a sausage somehow manages to look wildly inappropriate.

I ate my apple chicken sausage along with roasted broccoli. I had plenty of broccoli leftover for Ryan until someone got a little sneaky when she was left alone in the kitchen.

First week in Ocala 230

As you can see, Sadie tried on her new Halloween t-shirt that we bought her at Target this weekend.

The creatures that shall not be named may have ruined her previous pumpkin shirt. Ew. So glad were out of that place!

Sadie Fun Fact: She was dubbed “Pumpkin” as a puppy before we got her and named her Sadie so her new shirt is quite fitting.

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

    Sadie is absolutely adorable…. pumpkin 😀 <3
She looks like she's asking how it looks on her. Too precious.

    Oh, and
I love sausage. Especially the thick, juicy ones.

Aww, love Sadie’s shirt! I think I’ll need to hit up Target for that shirt for my little Boston Terrier puppy, Lola. 🙂

And, umm… I *love* sausages!! TWSS. Actually, only Aidell’s sausages to be exact. They make this amazing Spicy Mango & Jalapeno and Habanero & Green Chile chicken sausage. Yum!

The Spicy Mango sausage is just kinda spicy, not super spicy. 🙂 The mango adds a little sweetness and the jalapeno gives it just a subtle kick. SO good!

Love Sadie’s outfit! That’s so awesome she wears it! I’ve had two dogs. My first would allow me to dress her up. My current dog is not a fan … at all.

Once in law school, I put her in a LSU jersey for the game and remember walking down the stairs to find my roommate’s dog tugging at the jersey, while my dog, Sydney, was trying to get out. Priceless!
