Most Popular Recipes of 2014

December 30, 2014 by Julie 39 Comments

Two thousand fourteen is almost over and we’re just about ready to welcome in a new year! It’s tradition around here to share recaps of the most popular PBF posts at the end of each year and I wanted to kick things off on a delicious note with the top 10 PBF recipes of 2014.

Top 10 Recipes of 2014

Below you will find the most popular PBF recipes by page views. You’ll find a mix of breakfast recipes, healthy snacks, yummy side dishes and creamy smoothies… And lots and lots of oatmeal-based goodies. (I see a bit of a trend here!) Hope you enjoy!

Top 10 Recipes of 2014

10. Peanut Butter Granola

This recipe has a soft spot in my heart because it’s from the early days of PBF! I still make my peanut butter granola regularly because it’s simple and perfect for on-the-go snacking or sprinkling on top of a creamy cup of Greek yogurt.

9. Edamame and Black Bean Salad

Edamame Black Bean Salad

I adore this recipe so much. It’s colorful, healthy and a big-time crowd pleaser! I love bringing it to summertime BBQs!

8. No Bake and Easily Customizable Granola Bars

No Bake Granola Bars

This recipe provides a tasty base for granola bars that you can easily adapt to meet your personal tastes and preferences.

7. Banana Bread Protein Pancakes

I need to bring these babies back into my life!!! I totally forgot about this recipe until it popped up on the most popular blog posts list and now it’s back on my “must make” list!

6. Three-Minute Egg White Oatmeal

If you’ve been stopping by the blog somewhat regularly within the past month or two, I’m sure you’ve seen me blog about this recipe about a billion times. I love that it comes together quickly, tastes great and fills me up!

5. Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookie Dough Overnight Oats

I don’t want to play favorites, but this recipe may be my favorite version of overnight oats! It’s creamy, filling, dairy-free and vegan, too!

4. Healthy Banana Bread

Healthy Banana Bread

Just looking back on this recipe makes me wish I had a warm slice in front of me right now. It’s wonderful topped with a smear of almond butter, too!

3. Peanut Butter Mocha Banana Smoothie (with Spinach)

I was surprised to see this recipe pop up as a top one on the blog, but it really is quite tasty! Chocolate, coffee,  banana and spinach make this smoothie a personal favorite!

2. No Bake Oatmeal Nut Butter Balls

A deliciously sweet recipe that’s a great substitute for dessert when you’re craving something sweet!

1. Egg White and Oatmeal Protein Pancake

The number one recipe! And with good reason! It’s a super simple protein-packed breakfast that I absolutely adore. It only requires four ingredients that you likely already have on hand.

I’ve made the Chocolate Protein Granola and it was awesome! However, I will probably add some sort of sugar just to sweeten it up a bit, it was rather bland. I’m looking forward to making your Peanut Butter Granola next!

The egg white and oatmeal pancake has become a staple for me! It’s so simple to whip up in the morning and I love being able to change up the flavors. Sometimes I’ll chop up an apple and add it to the pancake before I flip it. In the fall I used a little bit of left over pure pumpkin I had on hand, plus pumpkin pie spice it was so good! The egg white oatmeal and edamame and black bean salad will definitely be making an appearance in my kitchen soon. Thanks for posting all these great recipes!

I’m pretty sure at least 1,000 of the page views on the egg white and oatmeal protein pancake recipe came from yours truly. I ate it like 4 or 5 times a week in 2014, but always had to look up the recipe when I made it, haha!
