Internet Amusement

July 29, 2011 by Julie 136 Comments

What a difference chocolate chips make!

This morning my breakfast included a bowl of Flax-Z-Snax butter pecan hot cereal. I stirred in a tablespoon of cocoa powder and sprinkled the bowl with chocolate chips before digging in.

Though there weren’t a bazillion chocolate chips in the bowl, the small amount added some seriously rich and indulgent flavor to the bowl. I need to do this more often!

Along with the hot cereal, I also ate some mixed nuts and a cup of fresh blueberries.

My mom bought two huge cartons of blueberries from Costco, so we’ve been going to town on the fresh berries in our house throughout the past few days.

Now it’s time for some random and mindless fun…

Internet Amusement

I must admit, when I quit my full-time job, I was worried that I would totally miss out on internet sensations. Working in an office environment inevitably exposes you to chain emails that include links to hysterical YouTube videos and creative websites.

I’m not gonna lie, these random emails were often the highlight of my day.

Fortunately my friends still send me emails from their office jobs and my Twitter buddies tweet links to some hilarious websites, so my craving for internet hilarity is still satisfied.

Now I’d like to share with you some internet finds that have been greatly amusing me lately…

1. LeisureDive.com

As a former diver in high school, I only wish we learned dives that were this cool.

2. Planking

I’m going to try to talk Ryan into “planking” all over Sarasota with me this weekend.

3. The Blogess’ Blog

Some of her more recent posts have made me just about die laughing.

  • Would you like to buy a monkey?
  • And that’s why you should learn to pick your battles

4. How To Do Everything Faster (Video)

This video blew my mind. I’ve been wasting SO MUCH TIME!!!

5. Sasha and Twitch’s Amazing Routine from So You Think You Can Dance

By far my favorite routine of the season!

Question of the Morning

  • What website or video has provided you with some much-needed internet amusement lately?

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I’m obsessed with http://damnyouautocorrect.com/. Anybody with an iPhone knows how horrible autocorrect can be sometimes and this website proves it! I can laugh for days at a time about certain entries.

Whoa…you just discovered The Blogess? Girl, you have been missing out! She’s so flippin’ hilarious. I adore her blog.

Definitely a fan of the Sasha/Twitch routine. I’d say it’s in my Top 5 for this season, but nothing beats any routine that involves Allison Holker. Girl can DANCE. Her routine with Marko this week? Holy smokes. Mind blown.
