60 Minute Boot Camp Workout

April 2, 2014 by Julie 46 Comments

I have a pretty intense workout to share with you guys today!

Late this morning, I headed to the gym to take my favorite boot camp class. The class is a 55-minute class, but the workout portion usually takes around 40 minutes since we spend time warming up, cooling down and learning the exercises in each station of the boot camp.

When I left today’s workout, I knew I wanted to share what I could remember from it with you guys this afternoon since a number of you seemed to enjoy the boot camp workout I shared last Wednesday.

Well, I ended up increasing the duration of today’s boot camp workout to make this 60-minute intense boot camp workout. It’s one hour of serious sweating!

60 Minute Boot Camp Workout

Directions: Complete each station in the above workout for three minutes before moving onto the next. You will likely finish all of the exercises in each station before three minutes are up, so simply repeat the exercises over and over again until three minutes are over. Rest as needed, but try to keep things moving!

Here are links to some video demos of a few of the exercises:

  • Stability ball roll-ins
  • Plank jacks
  • Donkey kicks
  • Wall balls
  • Ball slams

Lunch

After my workout, a locker room shower and more work, I drove home for lunch. I had to meet up with our landlord for our biannual walk-through.

As I waited for our landlord to arrive, I threw together a salad with lots of tasty toppings.

Salad with Roaste Chickpeas, Avocado, Turkey, Oranges and Balsamic Dressing

In my bowl:

  • Spinach + Romaine Lettuce
  • Avocado
  • Roasted and Salted Chickpeas
  • Sliced Orange
  • Turkey
  • Balsamic Vinaigrette

Salad with Chickpeas, Avocado, Turkey and Orange

Eat up, buttercup!

Right when this blog post goes up, I’m off to a training that will last until 7 p.m. Gotta pack dinner + snacks!

Have a great Wednesday, my friends.

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

That workout looks really awesome! I might need to look up more of those moves since I’m not familiar with all of them, but overall it looks like it would make the time go pretty quickly! (Except maybe at the end when I’m dead ;))

Isn’t it amazing how spring comes around and BOOM salad cravings do, too? I had the BEST salad for lunch: shredded chicken, 1/2 avocado, kale + spinach medley and a homemade dressing of dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, S+P. Mmm! Highly recommend!

You’re so creative with creating new workouts! This one looks intense! I’m trying to come up with some new ways to workout that won’t freak out my fibula because I just found out I have a stress fracture there ( 🙁 ). I know you’re not a doctor of course, but any ideas on potentially good exercises?

What is your advise for the run portion if there is no where for the class to run? Running in place is pretty boring.

Did you have a treadmill nearby or did you just run in place? Did you ever have trouble perfecting your run form? I am trying to switch to a midfoot landing (from my heel landing that left me injured) and having a difficult time. It’s so hard to be a beginner runner!

One hour of workout is pretty intense. I couldn’t even get a 30 minute workout done right. I keep pausing in between position and technique. I think I might need a good, full-day rest if I ought to start this workout or else I’ll pass out in the first 30 minutes of this routine. I have a question though, would the benefit we reap from continuous 60 minute workout be the same with a 60 minute workout but with a 1-2 minute rest interval?

I have done this workout several times on my own and love it. Today I led my boyfriend through it outside today since we we’re having beautiful weather in NC and he was ready to quit early. We pushed on and I was proud to say I schooled him. #girlstrength. Thanks Julie!

I just did that workout and it was great! It went by quickly and I felt like I got a whole body workout. I have a question tho, what is froggers? I ended up doing jump squats and on the down going all the way to the ground like a frog hopping lol. Thanks for sharing this workout
