Burn Boot Camp 15-Minute Leg Workout

March 24, 2016 by Julie 27 Comments

Yesterday was LEG DAY at Burn Boot Camp. If you’ve been reading this blog for more than a hot second, you probably know how much I dislike working out my legs. They’ve always been my least favorite muscle group to train but something about the workouts the trainers at Burn Boot Camp put us through on leg day makes me kind of love them.

Granted I’m not loving the workouts when my legs start to fatigue and the burn sets in when I’m only five minutes into the workout, but there’s something about the feeling I get after a tough leg workout that keeps me coming back for more. I LOVE it… Well, I suppose it’s more of one of those love to hate type things. But you know what I mean. It hurts so good that you kind of love it, ya know?

But back to Burn Boot Camp leg workouts… I have one to share with you today!

LEG WORKOUT - 15 Minute Circuit

The “meat” of our BBC leg workout yesterday included the a 15-minute mini circuit you see above. Do not be fooled by the relatively short workout time. It’s TOUGH. And if you don’t think it’s tough, try grabbing heavier weights (that still allow you to maintain proper form and stay safe) and challenging yourself to concentrate on flexing your muscles and digging a little deeper. That usually does the trick!

This workout comes to you from Beth, one of my favorite BBC trainers. Her workouts are always killer and you can follow her for more fitness inspiration on Instagram at @BethWilliamsFitness.

Exercise Demonstrations

Below you will find picture demonstrations of the exercises in this workout. If any of the exercises are unfamiliar to you, you may click the links for the image sources where you will find more detailed information about the exercises to ensure proper form.

Whew – jump squats and lunges combined ?!!! You go girl!!

If that is the core of the workout, what do you do for the remainder of the boot camp? I would assume your legs would be spent!

My legs are my least favorite to workout too because I’m so sore for days afterwards. I know I need to work on strengthening my legs to help with running but it’s hard to make myself do it. Pinning this workout to try later!

Such a fun circuit! I used to hate leg day, but now that I do it more often, I am starting to really enjoy it. I have to really get my mind in the right place or else all I can think about it how much it hurts, HA!

I feel that way about jumping lunges. I still basically hate them but I hate them LESS now that I’m doing them more often. So weird how that works!

I love working my legs (I’m a runner) but my weakness is definitely my arms. I love Body Pump so that I work everything and then done!

hi julie! just curious: do you have to get permission to share bbc workouts on your blog? i have so many routines from barre classes that i want to share, but feel bad because i feel like i’m taking credit for somebody else’s work! how do you go about this?

Yes, I was just about to ask this. Even if you do have her permission, you haven’t included her information on your infographic…

As far as getting permission, I would definitely ask the studio! It seems like people are often happy for bloggers to share as long as they’re given credit since it also helps spread the word about their class/studio/workout!
