Orange Marmalade Greek Yogurt Pancakes

December 9, 2013 by Julie 48 Comments

Sometimes Mondays need a little extra help in order to feel awesome, so I figured trying out a new pancake recipe might be a good way to add a little pizazz to the start of the week.

Orange Marmalade Protein Pancakes

I used my Greek yogurt protein pancakes as a guideline, but instead of strawberry banana yogurt and egg whites, I used 2 percent Greek yogurt an a whole egg in the recipe.

protein pancake ingredients

I also added a little more oats and roughly two tablespoons of orange marmalade to the mix before blending everything together with my immersion blender. (I use a Cuisinart immersion blender and love it.)

In the end I had a delicious plate of orange marmalade Greek yogurt pancakes!

Orange Marmalade Pancakes

They weren’t fluffy like normal pancakes and were a little more dense, but I have a filling these babies will have no problem keeping me satisfied until I’m ready for a late morning snack.

Now I’m off to teach TRX for an instructor who is out today! On my way to work, I’m planning to make a quick pit stop at the post office to drop something in the mail for my Secret Santa recipient. I received my first present from my Secret Santa this weekend and thought it was adorable!

Snowman Poop

So fun!

I LOVE secret santa exchanges but no one at my office does it. I remember doing one my freshman year of college though. It was a riot and people spent so much time trying to figure out who had given who what. Some people were really creative too!

What a fun idea of putting marmalade in pancakes. The addition of the oats too all blended is something I have to try!

Yum! This looks so good. I love your Secret Santa present so far. They did a great job. Our office did a gift exchange and it was so fun seeing all the presents. Sadly, half the people did gift cards which are awesome gifts but not very fun.

I need to get an immersion blender! I’m sure you can use for it tons of stuff – pancakes, soups, etc. The pancakes sound yummy!

We aren’t doing a specific Secret SANTA, but we do a Secret Sister gift exchange all throughout the year within my MOPS group. It’s so fun! Of course because it’s around Christmas, we’ve been exchanging “Christmas-y” gifts, so it kinda feels like a Secret Santa. 🙂

I’ve been wanting to put orange marmalade to use as well, I was thinking some pulled chicken and pair it with rice perhaps for a healthier “orange chicken”!

I looooove pancakes. I even requested that they be my birthday dinner! 😉 I’m not really an “orange” person…. my mom put my medicine in orange juice once when I was kid, which scarred me for the rest of my life. Hello prime example of classical conditioning!

Looks delicious! I have a non related question about Sadie! I am considering getting a Vizsla because I want an active dog that can handle running with me. My biggest concern is having a dog that barks a lot– don’t get me wrong, Im a dog person and I know that dogs like to bark, but Im trying to avoid breeds that are known for being overly vocal. Does Sadie bark much? Thanks!

Pancakes looks super yummy. I use Greek yogurt and egg in mine, too. I bet the orange marmalade was extra delicious.
My daughter decided as a family we should do secret santa gifts. So we drew and she ended up with her own name so we had to redraw. It’s really cute how excited she is about it.
Love the snowman poop. I think I might add it to my co-worker’s gift bags. I think I’ll stick in some hot cocoa, too.
