Blog Love: The Lean Green Bean

August 14, 2013 by Julie 161 Comments

Good morning!

Today began with a hot mug of coffee.

Oh sweet joy!

I followed up my cup of coffee with an egg sandwich topped with cheese and jelly.

I may have been a little heavy-handed with the jelly knife this morning…

I don't think you're ready for this jelly

Blog Love: The Lean Green Bean

Yesterday, as I ate my lunch in the break room, I opened up the Bloglovin’ app on my phone and caught up with some blog reading. I read a bunch of blogs and thought it might be fun to periodically highlight one of my favorites since I know many of you are big-time blog readers who are always on the lookout for fun blogs to read.

The blog I am highlighting today isn’t a brand new blog, but it recently became one of my favorites!

The Lean Green Bean

The Lean Green Bean!

The blogger behind The Lean Green Bean, Lindsay, is a registered dietitian. For those of you interested in becoming an RD, Lindsay has a whole section of her blog dedicated to her journey which is really interesting!

Lean Green Bean Lindsay

She frequently shares simple, healthy recipes, workouts, meal plan prep ideas, nutrition tips and more. It’s a fun blog with lots of great healthy food ideas.

Check it out!

Question of the Morning

I am a big fan of the Lindsay’s blog, and her information and recipes are great! I wish the foodie penpal would include Australia haha! There are so many great blogs out there I am getting to know quite well now, I started mine recently as I found a gap in male healthy living bloggers! Two blogs I love is Charlotte’s who blogs at http://commitnesstofitness.com/ and also Alex at http://www.vegginout.vg/. Charlotte’s is full of witty humour and Alex has some amazing recipes!

The Lean Green Bean is also one of my favorite new blogs. I’ve also been loving Minimalist Baker and Ambitious Kitchen. Both blogs always give me good ideas for sweet treats, especially of the vegan kind.

I recently made Ambitious Kitchen’s Best Ever Vegan Chocolate Avocado Birthday cake for my brother’s 18th and wrote about it on my healthy living blog Hungry Gator Gal. The dessert is my go-to cake for special occasions now.

I forgot to add a link to Monique’s recipe for the cake! Below you’ll find links to the recipe and my post about the dessert.

There are SO many great blogs and each one I read offers something different. I should give some love to One Twenty Five – http://125.msn.ca/ – She’s so funny and brutally honest about her weight loss. Her travels are worth the read, too…
