Bumps on a Log

March 6, 2011 by Julie 31 Comments

Apparently a day at the Florida Strawberry Festival in the blazing sun can really take a lot out of you (kinda like a day at an amusement park)! Ryan and I were both bumps on a log for the remainder of the day yesterday and spent the evening on the couch with Sadie watching movies.

This morning we awoke feeling refreshed and ready for a yummy breakfast.

On the menu:

  • Eggs with shredded cheese
  • Black beans
  • Toasted English muffin

Great Sunday meal!

It fueled us through an early morning church service and some errand-running afterward.

When we arrived home from the grocery store, I headed into the kitchen to get a jump on making a couple of batches of flourless chocolate oatmeal cookies for the winner of Katie’s bake sale.

And I am now oh-so-full on cookie dough.

I have some things I want to do today including laundry, cleaning our guest room (which is essentially my room since I keep all of my clothes in that room because the closet is bigger) and shopping for some goodies to beef up the cookie package for the bake sale winner.

Best get too it!

I’m in the midst of baking for my bake sale winner, too! However, my first batch was a little under cooked so (oh darn) I guess I’ll have to keep those here and try another batch. 😉

I nthink I’m gonna have to make another batch, too. My first batch looks a little dinky because I ate too much dough!

Breakfast looks yummy! And so does that cookie batter, YUM! Do you ever feed Sadie eggs?! Ryan fed Happy an egg this morning, and she gobbled it RIGHT UP! Kinda funny.

My boyfriend has more clothes (that he doesn’t wear) than I do. I’m slowly getting rid of items and making room for my stuff in our closet and drawers. 🙂

The key is to not get rid of more than one of two items per month.

Yes! I feel like I prefer the dough to the actual cookies 99% of the time!

You should make cookie dough truffles! I love the cookie dough more than the actually cookies, so these truffles are always right up my ally!

I don’t blame you for eating cookie dough. That happens to me and then by the time the cookies come out of the oven I am too full to eat one because I’ve stuffed my belly with cookie dough!

In my old home I used to keep clothes in 3 different closets. That’s why when I built this house, I made a huge closet and I can see everything I have in one room!

Yum cookie dough is way too good. I’m always too full for the actual baked cookies and I usually wind up eating one or two about TONS of dough!
