Celebrity Life Saver

August 20, 2012 by Julie 101 Comments

Today kicked off phase three of Tina’s Best Body Boot Camp.

phase 3 003

At first glance the workout loosely reminded me of the LiveFit program that focused a lot on heavy weights and I worried that I would get bored waiting around in between sets of each exercise.

Have no fear!

Tina’s workout kept things moving quickly because she added drop sets and bursts of active recovery in between sets to keep boredom at bay. There was no standing around, that’s for sure!

Last night when I downloaded the workouts, I thought phase three wouldn’t be my favorite, but I ended up really enjoying today’s total body workout and the way it challenged my muscles. Another winner from Tina!

Breakfast

I often create meals around a craving and today parmesan cheese was calling to me from the fridge, so I figured out a way to incorporate it into my morning meal.

scrambled eggs 017

I made a bowl of scrambled eggs with three eggs, onion, steamed broccoli and lots of parmesan cheese.

scrambled eggs 024

Plus a hot mug of coffee and a banana on the side!

Celebrity Life Saver

Last night as I sat on the floor crafting in our living room, Ryan flipped through the channels and noticed that Armageddon was on television.

I could not stop laughing when he said, “You know, if an asteroid really were coming toward earth, I think I’d want Bruce Willis to be the one to try to save us.”

We then started discussing which celebrity we’d actually want to rely on in a dire situation. My mind kept going back to Denzel Washington, for no real reason other than the fact that he seems intelligent, athletic and mentally stable.

denzel washington excellent choice

Now I ask you…

Question of the Morning

  • If you had to rely on one celebrity to save your life in a dire situation, who would you choose?

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Random question – what do you put in your coffee? Milk? Creamer?

    Thanks! Love your blog 🙂

I watched Armageddon yesterday too! But did anyone else notice that they were all together on the oil rig, Bruce Willis gets taken to the president and then like 24 hours later they have to go and “round everyone up” from all over the U.S.?

Hi Julie – I tried your greek yogurt pancakes this morning and loved them. I found your cute blog about a month or so ago. I have a sweet friend’s daughter that is 19 and I actually forwarded her your blog because I thought you reminded me of each other. Long story short, I noticed on your blog that you were at UCF for Alumi Rush day and would you believe SHE IS IN THE SAME ONE – at UCF and you two were at the same event – she is soph there – small world. Anyway, love your blog and all your healthy eating ideas. thanks for sharing. 🙂

Uma Thurman for sure….She was quite the crazy lady in Kill Bill and got herself out of being buried alive. That has to be one of my biggest fears too and seeing that on the big screen…freaked me out! All in all…. Pretty sure she can handle anything.

Either that the Kardashians for sure. They always have some kind of hook up while looking fabulous. I am sure Kris Jenner has some secret rocketship or planet they can still live on if an asteroid comes to earth. lol

All I can think of are sandwiches and Im not really a fan. It would have to be able to sit in my backpack (w ice pack) or thermos during class.
