Chia For You and Mia!

April 19, 2011 by Julie 1,045 Comments

Get ready for some giveaway fun!!!

But first we must cover lunch. 🙂

Tuesday Lunch

Today’s mid-day meal included a big ol’ salad, composed of:

  • Butter lettuce
  • Celery
  • Tomatoes
  • Carrots
  • Leftover sausage
  • Balsamic vinaigrette dressing

Gettin' Mah Veggies!

A cup of plain Greek yogurt with a scoop of grape jelly rounded out my meal.

Before moving onto the giveaway, I just wanted to let you know that the Fashion page was updated this afternoon. 🙂

Chia Seeds Giveaway

Though I only recently discovered the beauty that is chia seeds, once I tried the nutritous little seeds, I fell in love.

Chia!

I fell hard and I fell fast thanks to their amazing nutritional profile (omega3s + fiber + protein + antioxidants and more!). Their fantastic crunch and ability to thicken overnight oats like nobody’s business just sealed the deal for me! Plus, they make a great addition to smoothies, cereal, granola bars, baked goods, salads, oatmeal and more!

And here’s the good news! Now you can win a two-pound bag of chia seeds from ChiaSeedsDirect.com. ChiaSeedsDirect.com is a company that solely sells chia seeds, offering high-quality chia seeds at low prices with free shipping to U.S residents!

Bag of Seeds!

I received a bag of their seeds and have really enjoyed using them in my overnight oats…

Overnight Oats

Chocolate chia seed pudding…

Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding

Bagelwiches…

Bagelwich

And coconut granola!

Coconut Granola

They’re pretty darn great.

To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, telling me one way you would like to enjoy chia seeds!

This giveaway is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada and I will randomly select a winner tomorrow afternoon.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I would use them to try and make chia seed pudding, because i love pudding but I’m afraid it won’t gel without them because I have to use almond or soy milk instead!

I am dying to try the coconut granola!! But I haven’t been able to locate chia seeds or the coconut oil, but hopefully I will track them down soon! I also really want to try making overnight oats. I have oatmeal for breakfast a lot because it’s easy to make at work, since I have to be at work for 6am, and usually don’t feel ready to eat until about 7am.

I’ve been eating gluten-free to help my health and fertility (been through several IVF attempts). I would love to get more healthy nutrients in my diet without having to pop more pills. I plan to add it to anything/everything (smoothies, steel-cut oats, stir-frys, etc…) I have been adding flax seed to my meals, but would like to try chia seeds.
