Chia For You and Mia!

April 19, 2011 by Julie 1,045 Comments

Get ready for some giveaway fun!!!

But first we must cover lunch. 🙂

Tuesday Lunch

Today’s mid-day meal included a big ol’ salad, composed of:

  • Butter lettuce
  • Celery
  • Tomatoes
  • Carrots
  • Leftover sausage
  • Balsamic vinaigrette dressing

Gettin' Mah Veggies!

A cup of plain Greek yogurt with a scoop of grape jelly rounded out my meal.

Before moving onto the giveaway, I just wanted to let you know that the Fashion page was updated this afternoon. 🙂

Chia Seeds Giveaway

Though I only recently discovered the beauty that is chia seeds, once I tried the nutritous little seeds, I fell in love.

Chia!

I fell hard and I fell fast thanks to their amazing nutritional profile (omega3s + fiber + protein + antioxidants and more!). Their fantastic crunch and ability to thicken overnight oats like nobody’s business just sealed the deal for me! Plus, they make a great addition to smoothies, cereal, granola bars, baked goods, salads, oatmeal and more!

And here’s the good news! Now you can win a two-pound bag of chia seeds from ChiaSeedsDirect.com. ChiaSeedsDirect.com is a company that solely sells chia seeds, offering high-quality chia seeds at low prices with free shipping to U.S residents!

Bag of Seeds!

I received a bag of their seeds and have really enjoyed using them in my overnight oats…

Overnight Oats

Chocolate chia seed pudding…

Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding

Bagelwiches…

Bagelwich

And coconut granola!

Coconut Granola

They’re pretty darn great.

To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, telling me one way you would like to enjoy chia seeds!

This giveaway is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada and I will randomly select a winner tomorrow afternoon.

Good luck!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

Great giveaway Julie, and thank you so much for opening it up to Canadians too! I know chia seeds are amazing health-wise but always forget to use them. I think I’d put them in pancakes, or maybe a smoothie – or both!!! 🙂

Very skeptical about these seeds, but SO curious to see what the rage is all about!

Since I learned that they were the same seeds used to grow a chia pet and that they turn into a gel, I decided not to buy them. I finally was going to buy them, but then saw the price tag! I would really love to try them in my greek yogurts, and maybe even sneak some into my desserts like ice cream!
