DecemBURRR Circuit Workout

December 14, 2012 by Julie 63 Comments

This weekend kicks off Christmas fun for the Fagan family. We’re celebrating Christmas with Ryan’s side of the family in Sarasota this weekend and I’m ready to get the festivities goin’. We will be spending the following weekend in Jacksonville with my family, so we’ll be having an extended Christmas this year.

Since my parents moved to Jacksonville this year, this is the first time Ryan and I won’t be able to see both of our families on Christmas Day, but I think the arrangements we’ve made are pretty good! It should be a fun weekend! I know Sadie Claus is pumped to wear her festive little outfit this weekend.

Workout

Ocala got hit with a bit of cold weather yesterday! Texts went flying between me and my mom as we started wishing for a chilly Christmas. The Illinois-child within me still craves cold weather during the holidays. I’m afraid my desire to be bundled up at Christmastime will never truly fade away. Our first Florida Christmas was a rude awakening, but I’ve adjusted to seeing palm trees twinkling with Christmas lights.

Now I just suck it up and sit in my flannel pajamas with a mug of hot chocolate and sweat. It’s all gravy.

Though hot cocoa and flannel pajamas didn’t make an appearance at the gym this morning, sweat certainly did!

I forgot to bring my print out of the final circuit workout from Tina’s Best Body Boot Camp with me, so I ended up creating my own mini circuit workout that I did three times following a quick 20-minute cardio session on the elliptical.

DecemBURRR Circuit Workout

Oh adorable winter graphics, you are so much fun!

Breakfast

Breakfast this morning was a bit odd. I started by making myself a bowl of steel cut oats with egg whites, flax seed, nutmeg and pumpkin pie spice, but after a few bites, I realized I wasn’t in the mood for that breakfast at all.

I still ate a small bowl of the oats, but paired them with some cheesy eggs since my taste buds wanted cheese this morning.

Whatever works!

Workout looks awesome, I will be using it tomorrow morning!

Quick question, where is your carry on/gym duffle bag from, the snazzy print one, I remember you having a giveaway a while back and I loved the bags, looking for last minute Christmas present!

You can take some of the cold weather that we are having today! There was a thick layer of frost that I had to scrape off my car this morning. Part of me loves the cold and then another part of me could use a break from the cold. 🙂

“Now I just suck it up and sit in my flannel pajamas with a mug of hot chocolate and sweat. It’s all gravy.”

ahahaha!…I’m in Tampa and the other day, my cousin and I got together to do some holiday baking and do a christmas project from pinterest! I came over with 2 hot cups of Starbucks to start out our day, even though it was disgustingly muggy and warm out. Then when we headed outside to start our project the sweat started dripping! We tried SO hard to make the day feel Christmas-y, but good gracious Florida doesn’t quite get the memo!

Thankfully today is so nice and cool out….time for a jog!

    Have a great Friday PBF!

What’s funny is that I am in the Chicago area and wish I was in Florida! Have you heard that we haven’t had any snow yet. I’m hoping to break many records of no snow this year….ok, maybe one little snow, but that’s all!

By the way, I found some awesome tickets to a Cirque de Soleil show in my Mother-in-Laws town. Can’t thank you enough for that suggestion. I think she’ll be thrilled!

I’m on a cheesy egg kick breakfast myself right now. Light Tex-Mex cheese is my current fave.

For what it’s worth, it’s only cold here in Illinois…no snow in sight 🙁 Honestly, with how stupid and ugly this weather is, I’d rather have Florida warmth than dead, disgusting, cold-without-snow stupidness that we have up here right now >:( (bitter much? Oh, you bet. Haha).

Julie, I live in Indiana and it is about 34′ today which I think is warm for this time of the year. It is not near as cold as I want it to be and there is absolutely NO snow on the ground. I am wishing for snow this Christmas but the past few years we haven’t had very much or any at all. I was just thinking today that I am so thankful that when I was little that it snowed a lot in the winter so I was able to play outside and enjoy all of the fun in the snow!

My dog is named Sadie, too and we also call her Sadie Claus! It is the funniest thing because she LOVE her Santa Claus toys/babies. She brings them out year-round out of her toy box (yes, she has a million toys), but they especially make a lot of appearances around this time of year. It’s as if she knows it is Santa time! 😉

But when I was in the midwest a few years ago, I so enjoyed the cold and snowy weather! So awesome.

I live in Jacksonville Beach and it is chilly right now! I’ve been running in pants and a jacket so hopefully it stays like this so we can enjoy a cold Christmas! 🙂 While you’re here, you and your family should visit Marker 32 – it is a delicious seafood restaurant. And you should take Sadie to Dogwood – my Vizsla loves that dog park. There is a big lake that dogs can swim in and trails they can run through.
