Double Jacket

January 12, 2011 by Julie 57 Comments

No, not a double rainbow…

A double jacket!

Doubled Up

White pea coat on top of a black blazer. It’s cold in Orlando today!

I heard a woman at the gym say that Florida and Hawaii are the only two states in the U.S. that don’t have snow today. Eek! Hope you guys are staying warm.

Ryan, Sadie and I made sure to stay as warm as possible on our brisk morning walk.

Daddy Daughter Duo

Bundled Up Buddies

I had several layers on and was still a bit chilly!

On our walk, I brainstormed crock pot dinner recipe ideas because this frigid weather warrants some hot food. I think I came up with a good one, so stay tuned tonight!

Once we arrived home, I prepped dinner in the crock pot before hopping in the shower.

The hot water felt fantastic and getting ready to a lil’ Britney Spears put me in a good mood.

Heeey Britney!

I think Sadie prefers Justin Timberlake…

"Ain't Nobody Love Ya Like I Love Ya!"

Breakfast

Once I was all ready, it was time for some breakfast. Since I was nice and warm from the hot shower and blow-drying my hair, a cold breakfast actually sounded okay.

I really wanted to incorporate some tasty cereal into my morning meal and figured topping a cup of Greek yogurt with the crunchy flakes would be a great way to enjoy a well-rounded breakfast.

Me & Goji Topped Yogurt

The cereal I used in my yogurt bowl is cereal that I personally created! After being contacted by Me & Goji, a cereal company that allows consumers to create their own cereal by choosing various bases and mix ins, I was super excited to make the cereal of my dreams!

I named my cereal “Eat Me!”

Eat Me!

I actually didn’t pay much attention to the nutrition facts as I was creating my cereal, but when it arrived in the mail, I was pretty darn impressed with the nutritional breakdown of the mix I created. Great combination of fats, carbs and protein!

My cereal contained:

  • Artisanal cereal (multigrain oat bran flakes, raw spelt flakes, raw barley flakes, raw rye flakes, wheat germ and amaranth)
  • Pecans
  • Pistachios
  • Cacao nibs
  • Chia seeds
  • Unsweetened coconut

The Goods

Dig In

All natural foods, all totally delicious.

EDITED TO ADD: The folks at Me & Goji are now offering 10% off orders with the coupon code SNOWEDIN. Hope you enjoy!

Off to work! Stay warm out there!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

i love that cereal combo! I remember when I found that website, I spent plenty of time creating my own mixes, but never bought them.

It’s so crazy that there are only two states without snow. I am in the lake tahoe, nevada area….so we definitely have snow.

Wahhh. Double layers = story of my LIFE this week. I don’t think it’s gotten above freezing (maybe once?) My boyfriend has had 2 snowdays in a row. I on the otherhand am only paid hourly and my workplaces NEVER closes (we brought in the homeless to let the shower) so I had to be in at work. Loved it though… so humbling!

Anywho, so cool about the cereal! I wanna try that!
