Today’s blog post features five of my favorite food finds at ALDI, including a mix of organic staples and indulgent treats! Thank you so much to ALDI for sponsoring this post. To find an ALDI near you, check out their store locator here.
By now you guys know that I fell hard and fast for ALDI. After a conversation about reducing our monthly food expenditures prompted my friend Jess to encourage me and my girlfriends to check out the newly renovated ALDI in our area, I popped into the store after church one Sunday and have found myself returning frequently thanks to the affordable organic produce and quality pantry staples we use consistently in our house.
I know that in the past, at least in our area, ALDI wasn’t really known for their healthy and organic options but I am continually impressed with the prices we’ve found on everything from organic grassfed beef to organic fruits and vegetables, grains, spices, nuts and nut butters.
For today’s blog post, I wanted to roundup a list of five favorite food finds that you can only get at ALDI! I think you’ll notice a trend toward the SimplyNature brand of products ALDI carries. I definitely gravitate toward that brand because they’re free of any artificial flavors, colors and preservatives and are pretty darn tasty, too!
Five Favorite Food Finds from ALDI
- SimplyNature Organic Coconut Oil
We go through coconut oil at an alarmingly rapid rate in our house so you better believe I cannot get enough of the SimplyNature Organic Coconut Oil at ALDI. I use coconut oil for everything from making my own protein fudge to roasting vegetables and moisturizing my skin (it’s great for dry knuckles!) and recently fell in love with using coconut oil in my coffee. If you haven’t tried blending coconut oil into your coffee in the morning, you must! It makes the coffee so smooth and creamy and leaves a delicious layer of foam on the top! The flavor of the SimplyNature Organic Coconut Oil is very delicate which makes it ideal for use in so many recipes since the coconut flavor is not overpowering in the least.
- SimplyNature Organic Spices
I’m going to go ahead and lump a whole bunch of spices into one bullet point favorite for the sake of brevity because I LOVE the SimplyNature Organic Spices so darn much! I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with cooking and baking complicated meals that call for tons of spices because spices can be so expensive. Thankfully the SimplyNature Organic Spices are affordable and flavorful and don’t make my wallet want to cry when I want to try a new one! I go through certain spices like cinnamon and cumin rather quickly, so it’s nice not to feel like I have to shell out the big bucks to replace these specific spices when I need them.
- SimplyNature Vegetable Chips
The entire Fagan family flips for these chips! I love the simple ingredient list and the crispy, crunchy blend of sweet potato, parsnip, taro and batata root veggies. They’ve also been a big hit with friends (I packed two bags to bring to Savannah on my girlfriend getaway last month), and know they’ll be a cookout staple for us this summer!
- SimplyNature Fruit & Nut Bars
I initially grabbed one of these bars when Ryan, Chase and I were waiting in the checkout line during our first visit to our new local ALDI because I was starving and wanted something to snack on in the car. I think I must’ve moaned out loud when I took a bite (clearly I was VERY hungry!) because Ryan laughed out loud and said something along the lines of, “So you hate it, huh?” Now whenever we pop into ALDI, I cannot resist grabbing a few of these bars to have on hand when the hunger beast strikes. The Dark Chocolate Mocha Almond is my favorite!
- Specially Selected English Toffee
My sweet tooth made me throw this small container of English Toffee into my cart during a trip to ALDI and they are just the perfect little pick-me-up treat! I find myself reaching for them most often after lunch or around 3 p.m. when I find myself looking for a little taste of something sweet. There’s something about the buttery toffee and the crunch of the crushed almonds that makes the sweet creaminess of the chocolate coating taste even better!

Question of the Day
For my fellow ALDI lovers: What are some of your favorite ALDI finds?
In addition to the products I mentioned above, I also love the Landshut Riesling, SimplyNature Organic Quinoa and Brown Rice, Wild Caught Teriyaki Salmon Burgers and Elevation Bars from ALDI. So good!
Fresh produce for sure. I actually only started going bc of your reviews. As always you never let me down when it comes to your recommendations. Thank you!!!
Our aldi doesn’t have those toffee bites that I’ve seen but you better believe i will be on the lookout now! My current fave is the pineapple poblano guacamole with the chia seed and quinoa pita chips!
I grew up in Hickory, NC and ALDI didn’t have the best reputation for organic and fresh food, so I am excited to check them out again and see! Thanks for posting such a great post about them! Way to go ALDI!
I want to try the wine- have been hearing great things!
I also LOVE Aldi! Their produce is the freshest and like you, I like that they have tons of organic products that are priced affordably.
What a great round up! Can’t wait to try Aldi!
I love Aldi!
I just devoured an entire bag of honey roasted cashews (!!!) I picked up from Aldi last weekend. So good and not super sweet.
Absolutely LOVE our local Aldis store in Port Charlotte Florida. Fresh produce is out of this world and amazing priced. It’s my #1 stop for grocery shopping!
I just went to ALDI today! LOVE it! I have been saving so much money on produce, meats, pretty much everything since I started shopping there.

LOVE Aldi! My favorites are the produce and protein bars!
Julie- They just opened in Charleston and I have been meaning to go. This Gift certificate would be a good way to dive in!
I’m new to Aldi but am always impressed by the fresh produce! Would love to try those toffee bites though, yum.
There is an ALDI being built within biking distance to my home! I’ve never been to one before, but have heard wonderful things. I’m excited to try it!
I haven’t shopped at ALDI in years, but your post made me want to change that! I used to love their cheese selection.
We love Aldi! Love the sweet potato chips, the organic macaroni and cheese for our son and also the random seasonal household items they have from time to time.
My girlfriend took me to Aldi the other day and it sure looked different than what I am use to. My favorite thing to have are the little Germany cookies. Thanks Julie for the giveaway!

I’ll never forget the first time I shopped and called my husband listing off all the produce I had picked up. I asked him to guess the total and he was over twice as high! It’s crazy how much we were spending before!
We just started going to the Aldi in our area…an older one near us was a little dated, but they built a brand new one about 10 min away and we love it! My favorite thing? Spending about $20 less on average per trip 😉 We haven’t tried a ton of their specialty products yet, but my hubby loves the Banana Nut Granola, and I love the Kalamata Olive Hummus.
I have reduced my grocery bill by about 30% with shopping at Aldi! Love the cereal, snacks and knock off La Croix
I have been shopping at ALDI for years! I love how the store is organized, it makes shopping such a breeze. A few of my ALDI staples are sweet potato chips, organic grass fed beef, their amazing non GMO peanut butter, and their sprouted bread. I don’t know what I would do without ALDI!
I have never been to Aldi, but one just opened up near me. I’ll have to check out your recommendations! Thank you!
I love their organic options – they are so affordable! I also really appreciate that I can get nuts there for way less than I can at any other grocery store. I love Aldi!!
Yes!! The nuts are so much cheaper. I love pine nuts especially Aldi’s at $4.50 where the other supermarkets want $10.00!!!!
I shop at Aldi’s all of the time! The big family size container of organic salad mix can cost $7+ at other grocery stores, but Aldi’s had it for $3!
Aldi is the best I was so happy when I moved to Virginia from Pennsylvania and my new city had one!
I am very happy with the selection of reasonably priced organic products at Aldi’s .
I love those bars too – so good!
I want to try those vegetable chips now. Thanks for the recommendation!
I love aldi!! It makes eating healthy and fresh SO much easier!
I love the dried fruit for my almost 2 year old! We buy the strawberries and the apples. They’re delicious! I just bought the Simply organic creamy banana fruit bars(frozen). I haven’t tried them yet but they look delicious!
ALDI is my favorite place to find snacks for my one year old!
I love their produce. Fresh and reasonably priced
So I haven’t officially been to ALDI (my hubby does the grocery shopping so we stay on budget) I have had food from there. My favorites are the veggie chips and coconut oil. I’m like you I use the coconut oil for all kinds of things!
I agree with the coconut oil!!
ALDI is my favorite! I have been shopping there for years! 🙂
These all look awesome! Unfortunatly, there are not Aldis near me in San Francisco. I’ll have to find one when I go home to NC!
I love their cheap wine, and the $2 goat cheese logs, what!?!? Amazing, love Aldi’s
An Aldi just opened up near us and I’m excited to explore it soon.
I don’t have a favourite product, I just love Aldi. With a family of 6 I save a minimum of $200 per shop and the quality is the same, if not better than the more expensive supermarkets. I definitely share your Aldi love.
Have a great day ?
I love everything at Aldi!
They’re remodeling the Aldi near us and I am excited to see it complete!
I just started shopping at aldi and have been so impressed!! Thanks for the opportunity for a gift card!!
I recently discovered Aldi too and LOVE IT! Right now I’m addicted to their Simply Nature Freeze Dried Strawberries, PB Elevation bars, all of their quinoa and brown rice mixtures, and the Wild Caught Flounder. They also have a pretty great frozen BBQ chicken flatbread 🙂 I need to look for those veggie chips!
Aldis is my go to for produce!
We recently found their tropical fruit Greek yogurt and even a yogurt hater like me is totally down with this! I only stopped by because you so highly recommend them so thank you!
I love the simply nature coconut and Chia granola!
