Free Workouts with Amazon Prime

August 6, 2014 by Julie 60 Comments

Amazon Prime is amazing. I fell in love with it years ago and order everything from peanut butter to barre socks to my favorite hairspray from the site. You can’t beat the free two-day shipping and know the annual fee is more than worth it.

In March of this year, I had the chance to travel to NYC and meet Mary Helen Bowers, the creator of the challenging, low-impact Ballet Beautiful workouts. After discovering her workouts were free on Amazon with my Amazon Prime membership, I was so excited! I quickly made a note in my phone to look into other free workouts on Amazon and finally got around to it this morning. Better late than never, right!?

I know a bunch of you guys are Amazon Prime lovers and since I’m pretty sure we can all agree that free workouts are pretty sweet, I figured a roundup of some of the free workouts I found on Amazon might make an interesting blog post.

I’ve never tried any of the above and would love to. I usually get all my working out done at Equinox between clients or while teaching group fitness, but I just may have to call on some of these online resources in the future when I don’t have access to the facilities. Thanks for posting!

Is there a category you go to to find these free videos? I tried once but unless I actually searched for something, I couldn’t find free ones. I love this post and seeing how many great ones there are. Thanks so much for sharing!

Heather- I did a search for Yoga and it brought up a ton of free prime videos and a few not free ones. I would assume it would be the same way if you did a search for a specific trainer. Also, I am doing it from my Roku box through my tv, it may be different through the computer. Maybe search through your prime account if you are on your computer. If you are on a tablet download the amazon app, if you don’t have it already. I hope this helps!

I’ve tried Ballet Beautiful. It was awesome when I was under Dr.’s orders to keep it low intensity with no heavy weights. My arms and legs were weight enough with all those reps!
Other free workouts I love: random meet-ups with instructors-in-training and my bicycle! If I’m feeling feisty, I’ll do a body weight circuit halfway through the ride.

I had done a similar post last year … I had Prime but didn’t realize there were so many workout videos offered on it. Amazon’s streaming isn’t quite as user friendly as Netflix (just the presentation, making a watchlist, etc). I had purchased a Jillian workout on DVD and then realized I could have streamed it for free (AND no waiting for the shipping!). Very good to spread the word as not many people seem to be aware of this! 🙂

I’ve always gone back and forth about Amazon Prime because I love ordering things from Amazon but I’m not sure if I order ENOUGH for the fee to be worth it. I will ponder on that some more.

That’s great that there are so many free workouts! I tried doing a Denise Austin one before, though, and I couldnt get past her voice. I just couldnt handle it haha. Also, there’s a Billy Blanks JR?? Who knew?
