Gary Coleman in Orlando?

March 21, 2011 by Julie 59 Comments

Another Monday is upon us!

funny-pictures-monday-polar-bear

Like every Monday in our household, the day began with a workout. Though I feel incredibly sluggish as I drag myself into the gym most Monday mornings, I instantly feel better once I start working out… and that good feeling lasts all day.

That crazy lil’ mantra “You’re just one workout away from a good mood” definitely rings true for me.

My workout began with 20 minutes of cardio with Ryan (15 min. incline walking + 5 min. running) and then it was off to BodyPump! The class was a decent one and I think my shoulders got quite the workout. I was still a little sore from doing Ryan’s awesome shoulder move on Saturday, so they were really feelin’ the burn.

After the gym, I took Sadie on a walk through the neighborhood near our apartment.

We passed a lake and a house being sold by none other than Gary Coleman!

What’chu talkin’ about, Willis?

After our walk, we arrived home and I was ready for breakfast.

Breakfast

The peanut butter jar was calling to me, so I made myself a peanut butter and banana sandwich on a honey wheat sandwich thin.

Peanut butter and banana is such a winning combination!

I wish I would have remembered to dust the sandwich with a little cinnamon, but it was still tasty regardless.

I also attacked part of an innocent loaf of raisin challah bread that was giving me the eye.

If I ever buy a loaf of bread from the Publix bakery that doesn’t come pre-sliced, I become a cavewoman and claw at it, ripping off chunks to eat. So civilized, I know.

Time to show-ah before that work thang!

Aaah the weather looks so GORGEOUS in Florida!! SO jealous!! And NOTHING beats the PB+banana combo, except mabe PB+J…! 😛

I have to remember that: “You’re just one workout away from a good mood” !! Great motivation! 😀

I am slightly jealous. I woke up to a coating of snow today, after I had just been outside in shorts yesterday for a walk with the hubby!
I actually thought of you this morning because I really needed to use one of your mantras for getting myself to the gym. It worked and now I feel great!

I am definitely a fan of the first-thing-in-the-AM workout… I sprained my ankle the week before last, so was unable to go to the gym at all last week, and it KILLED ME. I felt gross and it was just no bueno..thankfully I went today (medical boot and all- I looked awesome let me tell you what) and did an extreme upper body strength workout, and I feel like me again 🙂

Oh! And I have to tell you.. I showed the picture of the blender you got to my hubby, and he commented that it looks like the one my parents have. I wasn’t sure…but low and behold I took a closer look yesterday and it is indeed the very same! LOVE that blender! My mom got a little stir-happy with the stick thing that comes with it, and kind of tore up the bottom of the plunger (idk what it’s called haha), but that machine is a beast!

Never thought I’d ever get up early to exercise, but the feeling after is amazing. Might have to become a before-work exerciser instead of an after-work one.

Huh, that is too crazy about Gary Coleman! And I love your allusion to being a cavewoman… that’s pretty funny! I sometimes feel like that in restaurants when I’m waiting for my food. I always want to dive across the table to the next couple over and steal their bread. Usually I stay seated and cilvized, though. (Until after my meal when I want to lick my plate clean… or use bread that the waiter brought *during* the meal [b/c we asked for more] to wipe down my plate…. hey… ya gotta do what ya gotta do for every last taste! Licking the plate straight up would just not be approps for a restaurant setting. Ryan rule. Not mine. Something about wanting to stay classy. Whatevs. I do what I want).
