Goat Cheese ‘n’ Honey Bagelwich

January 31, 2011 by Julie 77 Comments

My lunch today was inspired by my goat cheese and honey dip, one of my all-time favorite healthy dips (and a great one for Super Bowl Sunday, perhaps?).

Alongside a sliced red pepper, I made myself a goat cheese and honey bagelwich on a toasted sweet wheat Alternative Bagel with pear slices.

Pre-Honey

The honey I used on this bagelwich came from the most adorable tiny jar of Dickinson’s pure honey that I snagged from yesterday’s fancy brunch because sometimes I take things.

Mini Honey

The little jar of honey is now resting in my top desk drawer. I’m planning on using it in my afternoon cup of Greek yogurt with some chopped pecans. I’m not gonna lie, I also see several  “honey fingers” in my future. 😀

I drizzled the honey over top the goat cheese using a fork that I licked clean.

Sweet 'n' Gooey

It's Eatin' Time!

Great little sandwich! I wasn’t feeling anything too savory around lunchtime, so I welcomed the sweetness of this lunch.

And now, just because I’m curious…

Who do you want to win the Super Bowl? The Steelers? The Packers? The Orlando Magic? 😉

I honestly don’t care at all. If I had to choose, I must say the Packers are calling to me. Maybe it’s because they’re  from Wisconsin and I like cheese? Really I should find out who the underdog is, because I usually root for them.

I don’t really think there is an underdog…I really dislike both teams. Is it possible for them both to lose? Just kiddinggg

I am not really a football fan, so I really don’t care all that much…but I guess I’d say the Packers. I am a huge fan of your lunch though. It looks really good!

JB! You better be rooting for the Steelers- us PA folk should stick together (and the Packers beat the Bears – which is sad!) Pretty sure they’re the underdogs though….

I LOVE mini containers of things! Cute makes things more appealing to me! and as I think you’ve mentioned before is something is mini, for example cupcakes and munchkins, you can eat 100x the quantity and the calories don’t count right?

That bagelwich looks incredible! I really know nothing about football, but I might stop by a Superbowl party for the guacamole. Haha.

I am a Wisconsinite, and therefore a Packers girl! Our team is most certainly the underdog, but they are going to kick some Steelers butt this Sunday. Go Pack Go!

the steelers! I come from a long line of steelers fans, but actually just went to my first game two weeks ago, it’s amazing to actually go and experience a game and how hardcore their fans are!!! I’m rooting for the Steelers all the way (and based on the comments on this, I’d say the Steelers are the underdogs, so you should root for them!)

Magic all the way, ha 🙂 I have a GINORMOUS crush on Dwight Howard, oy! But really, I don’t care about the super bowl, I’m more of a college football kind of girl.. I don’t even think we will be home Sunday night when the Superbowl is on.

I may or may not have a little honey obsession myself! I have a bottle that has a squirt top and sometimes I might hide in the kitchen and squirt it right on to my tongue, YUM!
