Legally Blonde in Ocala

July 26, 2012 by Julie 57 Comments

It is safe to say that Legally Blonde: The Musical is one of my all-time favorite musicals. I saw the show several years ago in Tampa with my mom and sister and we laughed our way through the entire production.

Last night I saw the musical again at the Ocala Civic Theatre with my friends Brittney and Cara and the same thing happened. The show is so darn funny!

We met up around 7:15 p.m. to pick up our tickets and settle into our seats for the 7:30 p.m. show.

With a $5 discount thanks to a coupon, our tickets were only $13! Well worth it.

Perhaps my favorite part of last night’s show was completely unplanned. The dog playing the hairdresser Paulette’s dog, Rufus, was the most adorable bulldog. His mission in life was to have his belly scratched and he kept rolling over on stage in hopes of enticing one of the actors into giving him a belly rub. The audience could not stop laughing. He stole the show!

Of course the music was just as catchy as I remembered. (I even used a song from the musical on my half marathon playlist last fall! So fun!) Brittney and I had a hard time not singing every word!

Breakfast

Breakfast this morning was a hot plate of scrambled eggs with peppers, onions and Alouette original spreadable cheese stirred in for some added creaminess.

I would have to say concerts are my favorite, I love all types of music but I’ve mostly been to country concerts, I’ve seen Dierks Bentley twice, and Tim McGraw and I even saw The Barenaked Ladies in highschool and that was a great time. I live in Maine so there aren’t many theater places near me but I would love to see Grease and Annie on Broadway.

I love your dress and I like it that you get some of your clothes at TJ Maxx. So afforadble and they have some great stuff!
