MorningStar Farms Giveaway

November 28, 2012 by Julie 1,015 Comments

Lunch today included lots of pretty colors.

Black Bean Burger Salad

I topped a big bowl of spring mix with celery, carrots, two MorningStar Farms spicy black bean burgers and pomegranate dressing. I absolutely love using black bean burgers as a salad topper. They add so much flavor and the punch of protein helps fill me up!

The dressing I used on my salad was Marzetti’s simply dressed pomegranate vinaigrette that I bought on sale at Publix on Sunday.

Marzetti's pomegranate dressing

I love this stuff and always stock up whenever I see a deal!

Morningstar Farms black bean burger salad

If you scrunched your nose up at the thought of black bean burgers and pomegranate salad dressing, I don’t blame you. It sounds like a totally bizarre combination, but oddly enough, it worked. I was craving black bean burgers but wanted a little sweetness in my salad, so I decided to combine the two and was pleasantly surprised.

I would really love to try the black bean burgers! I use black beans in a vegetarian-type quesadilla and they are SO good, so I can imagine it would be delicious and hearty in a burger, too.
