Lunch today included lots of pretty colors.
I topped a big bowl of spring mix with celery, carrots, two MorningStar Farms spicy black bean burgers and pomegranate dressing. I absolutely love using black bean burgers as a salad topper. They add so much flavor and the punch of protein helps fill me up!
The dressing I used on my salad was Marzetti’s simply dressed pomegranate vinaigrette that I bought on sale at Publix on Sunday.
I love this stuff and always stock up whenever I see a deal!
If you scrunched your nose up at the thought of black bean burgers and pomegranate salad dressing, I don’t blame you. It sounds like a totally bizarre combination, but oddly enough, it worked. I was craving black bean burgers but wanted a little sweetness in my salad, so I decided to combine the two and was pleasantly surprised.

Holy Toledo! Everyone loves a Morning Star Veggie Burger! I have to agree, Spicy Black Bean is my fav! Love it with scrambled Egg whites and cheddar, topped with salsa, (then maybe throw that in a tortilla?), or on a taco salad, or in a quesidilla, or even eat as a BURGER on a Sara Lee 80 calorie bun with ketchup and sweet potato fries!

I have never tried Morning Star brands, but after looking at their website, I can say I would love to try each and every one of the burgers they have listed! I’m not a sausage fan, so the Veggie bacon Strips look appealing too!

I love the Grillers Prime Veggie Burger! I bought the California Turk’y Burgers to give them a try, but thanks to Hurricane Sandy, I had to throw them out before I had a chance to. 🙁

I love the spicy black bean burger. Tastes divine. Plus when you eat it like a burger (i.e. bun, cheese and lettuce) I can’t tell the difference!

I love sooo many of the Morningstar Farms products! I eat their veggie bacon strips almost every morning on a whole wheat english muffin. Sometimes I switch it up and use their soysauge patties. In my freezer right now is also the grillers prime, black bean burgers and chik’n patties. All are my faves! I can’t pick just one!

Mmmm Morning Star Farms products. Seeing your delicious looking salad makes me want those black bean burgers (I mean really, will you just fix my lunch and breakfast everyday – please?). I was a vegetarian for about 10 years (not any longer – I mean, really – bacon is out there) but at the time I lived off the Morning Star Farms veggie sausages. Love their stuff.
I have never tried MorningStar Farms products before, I would love to try the mediteranean chickpea burgers! It sounds different and tasty! I also will be going out to buy that Pomengranate dressing!
The only Morning Star Farms product I have tried is the spicy black bean burger and I LOVE IT! I would love to try some others.

I love Morningstar products. I’m currently on a Chick Pattie kick…they are such a quick and delicious dinner! I’ve also had their Mushroom Lovers patties and their Tomato and Basil patties…so yummy! I’d love to try their Black Bean burgers…your lunch looked great 🙂
I’m a big fan of the chickpea burgers, but when I’m in charge of our family meal, I go with the 1/4-pound grillers. Add a bit of grilled onion on top and the boys don’t mind that it’s all vegetables!

My favorite morning star product would have to be the spicy black bean burger, the mushroom burger, and the breakfast sausage patties! They go great on an egg sandwich! If I win the coupons, I would love to try the Pizza burgers and the mushroom lovers burgers!!

I love a lot of Morningstar Farms products, but the “sausage” breakfast patties are a favorite of mine. I have always loved sausage with my eggs in the morning, and now I can have it more often!
