Odd Spam

July 18, 2012 by Julie 65 Comments

Today is Wednesday and that means I got to take my favorite TRX class at the gym this morning!

Before heading into the 30-minute class, I completed a 20 minute elliptical workout that included lots of inclines and got my heart rate up.

The TRX class was the highlight of today’s workout and included four circuits of two exercises each that we completed for 30 seconds for a total of three rounds.

  • Circuit One: TRX squat jumps, Running on and off Bosu ball
  • Circuit Two: TRX push ups, Hopping over Bosu ball
  • Circuit Three: TRX skaters, Tricep pushps
  • Circuit Four: TRX plank, Side plank on Bosu ball

Breakfast

After the gym, I was ready to eat!

overnight oats with butterscotch chips

Thanks to some prep work last night, breakfast came together in a flash. I topped a bowl of overnight oats with a sprinkling of sunflower seeds and butterscotch chips.

The sunflower seeds were roasted and salted and I loved the salty flavor that they brought to an otherwise rather sweet breakfast. I was also a fan of the added crunch since I’m a texture-lovin’ girl.

Weirdest Spam Emails

I loved reading about all of your morning computer routines yesterday and as I read through the comments, I thought of another computer-related topic that might be interesting!

Spam emails.

I get two different completely crazy spam emails repeatedly that make me laugh. I’ve labeled the emails as spam time and time again and yet they seem to slip through the cracks about two times a month.

One comes from my “ex” and is rather hateful and steamy. You’ve been warned!

spam

I’ve never clicked the link, don’t you worry. And my parents have yet to receive a copy of “our best scenes.”

The other is probably the most amusing spam email I get over and over again and is simply a food order.

spam email

It cracks me up. The food order actually changes, which is probably the most amusing part of this particular spam email. Last month they were apparently craving Italian and requested lasagna.

At my old job, I used to get a ton of spam emails. I wrote about pharmaceuticals and side effects, so my email address was a fantastic target for emails about all different kinds of drugs. You better believe they got forwarded around the office. Very amusing!

Question of the Morning

  • What is the weirdest spam email you’ve ever received?

Those emails are probably the weirdest spam emails I’ve received in a while, but I get some pretty stellar press releases sent my way that pitch some awesomely horrific products.

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I get more emails for Viagara and penis enlargment than I can count … As a girl I don’t find that a problem!

My faves are emails about “how long it’s been since we’ve talked … Check out my facebook link to see what I’ve been up to” ot “how’s your job hunt going? Try this out and make $8000 a month wprking PT on ucomputer” … And I’m not looking for work.

And of course, all the damn Nigerian scans!!!!

Oh that’s so hilarious! Maybe the food order person just wants you to cook for them Julie 😉

I always get the “sugar daddy dating service” which tells me to “meet rich singles fast!” So silly.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the most interesting spam that my email gets is spam about Viagra….
Anywho, on an irrelevant note, I don’t usually hear about Ocala in the news, but recently I saw that on the blog site, ‘Mandatory’, I saw news that a ’71 year-old man shot would be robbers’! Just thought I’d share, because I don’t usually hear much about Ocala!
