PB & PPB Sandwich

November 22, 2010 by Julie 44 Comments

PB & PPB sandwich?

Huh?

That would be a peanut butter and pecan pumpkin butter sandwich, of course.

Starring…

The Stars

Git in mah belly!

PB & PPB

This morning, after taking an oh-so-schweaty BodyPump class, I inhaled a pb and ppb sandwich along with a small slice of red velvet pound cake that I purchased at the farmers’ market yesterday.

Red Velvet Pound Cake

Breakfast

Love the pop of color from the pound cake!

It was a good one.

Fast forward through a productive morning at work and…

Lunch

Lunchtime!

If you figured I’d once again be enjoying a bowl o’ black bean chili, you would be correct.

Black Bean Chili

I enjoyed the last of the chili with a big dollop of plain Greek yogurt on top.

Cozy Meal

The chili is officially gone and I am officially full.

Semi-Ridiculous

Now I just have to share a semi-ridiculous purchase  I made over the weekend.

Paw Print Ornament

I can’t wait to plaster Sadie’s paw print into this bad boy.

She’ll love it, I’m sure. 😉

    Hi Julie,

I’m reading your blog for a while now, I really like it 🙂 I just wanted to say how good it is you can manage to eat delicious things (like cake sometimes) and just stick with one or two. For me it’s really difficult.. everytime I try just to eat one piece.. sum of that sugar says to my brain: eat everything thats in tha house!

And that black beans chili food looks good! Gotta make that too. Keep on bloggin, love to read.

it helps if i can get AWAY from it after eating it… otherwise i often have the same problem. it’s a lot easier to eat only one piece of cake when you then leave the house & head to work & no longer have the option to eat another slice!

Not that you need ideas for what to do with pecan pumpkin butter, but mixing it 1:1 with melted chocolate can make some mean truffles.

Oh my gosh, the paw print ornament is so awesome! I’m sure Sadie will love feeling represented on your X-mas tree. The PB and PPB sandwich looks so delicious. About how much of each do you put on the sandwich thin? I always tend to under or overdo it with my spreads…

I tried Red Velvet Cake for the first time a few days ago. It was amazing – it even beat out “white” cake for the top spot [in my opinion!] 😀

I bought the same ornament for my dog last year! She definitely did not enjoy putting her paw in it, but I’m so happy I’ll always have it. Don’t forget to write her name and the year in the wet plaster! 🙂
