Stuffy

March 16, 2011 by Julie 99 Comments

I have been sneezing up a storm all day. The incessant sneezing, coupled with overall congestion has left me feeling like my head is the size of a whale and might explode through my blowhole any minute. I’m so stuffy!

When I walked through the door after work today, Ryan immediately asked me what was wrong. Apparently I look defeated. Allergies are kicking my butt.

Since I wasn’t feeling 100 percent, we opted to forgo our usual walk with Sadie in favor of a trip to the dog park so we could hang out on a bench while Sadie ran around.

I don’t think she minded. Winking smile

Sadie was born to play.

The humans had fun, too!

(Side note: I made up the slogan and designed the peanut butter shirt I’m wearing in the above picture! I have a bazillion ideas for peanut butter-themed t-shirts and tank tops. Would you guys even be interested in some peanut butter-lovin’ apparel?)

While at the park we played multiple rounds of fetch and watched her bound around, through the trees and in and out of the lake.

Weee!

Dinner

Once our tummies told us our time at the park was over, we headed home to make dinner. Since neither of us were feeling particularly energetic, we figured super simple was the way to go. (Isn’t it always?)

I wanted something cheesy, so we decided to make quesadillas packed with cheese, caramelized onions, mushrooms and spinach.

Garlic roasted cauliflower rounded out the meal.

Gotta love dinners that come together in a flash and still taste great!

I’m off to be totally lazy on the couch and sip on some tea. Ryan and I have declared tonight movie night!

I think I may try to talk him into one of my favorites…

I would sooooo ‘eat up’ one of those cute PB tees if you decide to make them for all of us other Peanut Butter fans!! I have a jar of peanut butter on my desk instead of an apple (I am a teacher), I just WAIT for apples to come so I can whip out the PB by the spoonful…okay, so I don’t always need the apples to enjoy a big spoonful for no reason! Looking forward to searching around your blog 🙂

Feel better! Allergies seem to be getting to everyone here too.
As a side note, avoiding caesin in dairy, cheese, eggs and meats helps me feel less congested, since those foods cause the body to produce more mucus.

I love the t-shirt idea! If you don’t already, you should put your website across the upper back of the shirt so more people can know about and get directed to your blog! For this shirt in the picture, you could have the “www.” and the “.com” in white and the “pfingers” in pink so it matches. Wicked cute shirt! I’m in!

aw, I hope you’re feeling better by now! (If you can’t tell, im majorily catching up on blog posts like whoa. I’ve had a craaazy week and have hardly had any computer time!)

Oh! and a totally random Q for you… have you always had long hair?! I absolutely loveeee it, but was just wondering if you’ve ever tried a shorter haircut? I think you would look completely stunning with some type of angular haircut… (not to say that you aren’t gorgeous already, because you are!) Just wondered if you’ve ever had a shorter do. I’m wanting to change up my hurr sometime this spring, but i”m at a complete loss as to what to do! Curly hair is such a beast… esp when it’s humid (aka all of SUMMER!) So I think i’m gonna just get a trim. i’m not brave at all.

I love to read about someone loving peanut butter as much as I do. I’m a preschool teacher and we were playing in the sand table this week and one of my kids said “What kind of cake do you want.. chocolate blueberry or peanutbutter?” and I replied, “What do you think I’ll pick?” and all my students then said “peanutbutter!” in unison. Definitely made for a good laugh during the day! 🙂

I’m digging the peanut butter shirt! 🙂
