5 Random Things on a Wednesday

September 26, 2018 by Julie 56 Comments

Hi friends! How are you doing? I hope your week is going well so far! My mind is admittedly a little bit all over the place this morning so I’m just going to roll with it and share a rather random post with you today. Think of this as more or less a “thinking out…

Thank you to American Express for sponsoring this post! Today I am sharing our Before Baby Number Two Bucket List and a little bit about why we’re using the new Amex EveryDay Credit Card to help us chip away at some fun and some not-so-fun-but-still-necessary items on our list!  Being a mother is a bit of…

Hey friends! We’re halfway through the week and I hope you are all doing well. My brain is feeling a little all over the place – not in a bad way, just a bit unfocused – so I’m going to roll with it this morning and share some randomness on the blog today! Despite my…

Wednesday Randomness

April 19, 2017 by Julie 81 Comments

Hey guys! How are you today!? I hope your Wednesday is going well so far. Thankfully our week significantly improved from the start of the week since it began with a sick toddler. I think Chase had some funky 48-hour fever because he was dramatically better by Monday evening and on Tuesday he woke up…

September 21, 2016 by Julie 63 Comments

Hey, hey! How are you on this lovely Wednesday? This week has already been a little hectic and since my mind is all over the place right now, today’s post is going to follow a similar theme. It’s a little random but let’s embrace the crazy, shall we? I have some thoughts and stories to…

Six Things That Changed The Way I Approach Fitness

6 Things That Changed The Way I Approach Fitness

The other day I was chatting with a friend about the way motherhood has changed our approach to health and fitness. Since I had Chase, my workouts are shorter but have a new sense of direction, focus and intensity because I know I want to make the most of the little time I have to…

Instagram post 2191873802065169562_40044681 Slow Cooker Holiday Mulled Wine: The simple, low-maintenance, crowd-pleasing holiday beverage you've been looking for to make for your next holiday party! 🍷✨ This is my go-to recipe because it's warm and comforting and just sweet and cinnamon-y enough to feel like a festive holiday drink. ⠀
⠀
Here are the steps:⠀
⠀
Throw everything into a slow cooker⠀
Allow mulled wine to warm up on “low” for an hour⠀
Reduce to “warm” and top with a sprinkle of thinly-sliced oranges and cranberries⠀
Walk away and enjoy your party⠀
⠀
And the ingredient list is simple, too! Find the full recipe on the blog here: https://www.pbfingers.com/slow-cooker-holiday-mulled-wine/⠀
⠀
Oh and please do not feel the need to splurge on an expensive red wine for this recipe! I once had a sommelier friend of mine tell me that when it comes to making mulled wine, simply choose a red wine you like to drink. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy but it simply has to appeal to you without all of the added ingredients that morph it into a deliciously sweet holiday favorite. For this batch, I made the Slow Cooker Holiday Mulled Wine with a $6.99 bottle of Wellsley Farms’ Cabernet Sauvignon from @bjswholesale. Once you pour it into the slow cooker and fancy it up with thinly-sliced oranges 🍊 and pops of cranberry, no one will know you used a bottle of wine that cost less than $7 in the recipe anyway! Enjoy!!! #ad #mulledwine #holidaydrinks #holidayrecipes #slowcooker
