Food Fuels My Brain

December 28, 2010 by Julie 12 Comments

My goodness! Where has the time gone? Today totally slipped away from me as I basically drowned in a sea of edits at work. Phew! At least a jam-packed day makes the time fly! It also leads me to the candy jar at work… That was one of probably five trips to the front desk…

Sloppy Joe Remix

December 27, 2010 by Julie 25 Comments

Reeeeeemix! Whenever I hear the word “remix” I am reminded of the Napster days when I would download popular songs for free, only to find them “remixed” by some random kid who would randomly shout “This is the reeeeemix. DJ Ray Ray comin’ at ya!” in the middle of my new favorite song. Those were…

Goodbye, Joe

April 22, 2010 by Julie 22 Comments

Ever since I made sloppy joes for dinner on Monday, I’ve been picking at the leftovers every time I open the fridge. No more picking! Today I ate the last of the ‘joes for lunch. On the side I enjoyed steamed broccoli and portobello mushrooms, sprinkled with garlic salt. So long, Joe! I am a…

I Made 'Em Extra Sloppy For Ya

April 19, 2010 by Julie 36 Comments

“Have some more sloppy joes! I made ’em extra sloppy for ya!” (Name that movie!) To me, sloppy joes are a summertime staple. They remind me of coming in for dinner after a night of playing neighborhood games outside (kick the can and ghost in the graveyard, anyone!?). I know it’s not quite summer, but…
